He's had two stinkers in a row. In the 5 other supposed stinkers here is Oso's average line:
12.4 point, 5.2 rebound, 3.4 assists, 1.6 steals 2.0 blocks, 1.4 turnovers, 81.8 FG%

I have been on the Kiwi-mobile since the beginning but let's not be silly

WF was talking about OMax, not Oso.

Either way, there is little chance that Shaka benches a starter for Ben Gold.

Scoop taking over the Hauser mindset. Lose one game on the road to a very good team and start writing letters about changing everything.

Scoop is an action-oriented community.  Ben has gone from a stone-handed project to All Big East player in Scoop's hearts and minds in 16 minutes of garbage time. Scoop knows balz.

Not surprised the tall white guy is causing the season to implode again

I am with TAMU. Love Ben, but he is a work in progress.

Yep. But when he is in and wide open on the pick and pop get him the damn ball!  If he misses a couple in a row, and he's lost on D get him out.  If he hits 1 or 2 and he's not lost on D give him 10-15 minutes.  Easy peasy.

Scoop is manic: Win-we're onto the final 4, lose- let's pick the dud of the game.

Was Shaka taking to Ben about awareness?  He wasn't ready for the pass from Kolek?  That was the perfect time to take him out. Wasn't giving the team anything.

Give him another shot in the second half.

Or first half!  Ben With the three!

Oh man he's going off again

So he was, my mistake! Even so, it's a silly idea. OMax is arguably our best defender and even with his recent offensive struggles, he demands a lot of defensive attention.

No - That wasn't directed at Ben.  And that pass from Kolek was a bad pass - he rifled it to him and he was roughly 3 feet away and it was coming from an awkward angle.  Ben played well again today. This team has 9 legitimate contributors.

Those who want to start Gold at this point, don't know Shaka ball, no sarcasm.

17 minutes today for the freshman back up center.   I liked the jumbo package with him, Oso, and OMax.    Patience

I like the three bigger guys together. I think we will see more of that in the upcoming games.

It is clear Shaka was shuffling pieces and line ups today and seeing what fit.  How often will MU play a team where the jumbo line up is a benefit?   I can see it helping with rebounding.

Now, for funsies, picture the 3-2 zone with the jumbo package.  Omax out top, Oso and Ben down low.

Oh I agree with you.  I was just wondering.

Shaka managed Ben perfectly today.  His first  stint wasn't good.  Shaka took him out.  He went back to him late second half amd he played well.  He then played him second half as well.  Overall good game by Ben.   Great seeing him develop.  And love seeing him shoot.

You're right -- that was totally on Kolek. But the official scorer charged that turnover to Gold. He (Gold, not the scorer) was solid today, and saw just the right amount of PT. As you say, contributions from 9 guys.

Georgetown really blows, but I like the way our team bounced back strongly. I already can't wait for Wednesday!

Goose,

I think you may be right that Gold is our best NBA prospect.  You can't teach size.  I'm thinking about what he could potentially  do in the next few years.
