Love it ! Tomorrow will be the first pre game I won't be spending at goolsbys in a while. It has been great to see it packed each time I've been there. Always happy to support a loyal local business.

Gotta build our own on-campus arena!

<ducks>

I'm sure you have $300 million laying around for the cause.

Besides, if you think concessions are bad now, wait until Marquette gets a hold of them Dorm food for everyone!!!!

I was at Goolsby's before the SH game and the place was packed. Brought back great memories and loved seeing it so crowded. It moved ahead of Buck Bradley's as my go to spot pregame.

I wore my Goolsby's "Always Warriors" shirt in Ft. Myers and I had at least 100 people ask to take my picture. Not of my face but of the back of the shirt. For a few days, my claim to fame was that I had the most Instagrammed backside in Florida. Thank god for wide angle.

Apt description of Wisconsin badgers.

Ha ! That's an awesome story.

It's terrible.  I've seen the Bucks owners interviewed saying it's all about the fans, and they want to make everything about the arena experience the best for them.  There is nothing good about it as a fan — the food is awful, ordering system is terrible, prices are even crazier than many venues.

I was hypocrite for many years on beer prices. Complained about them, but still enjoyed 1-2 beers each game. I finally took a stand and stopped ordering beer last year. I'm sure my one-man protest is making a big dent haha

It's wild to me that a 20 oz. beer is cheaper at MSG during the Big East tournament than it is for a regular season game at Fiserv.

My wife and I took our daughter and her friend to Goolsby's before a game during her tour of MU, we all loved it. I got a Warrior shirt. My kind of place but also the two 17 year old girls really liked it.

Seeing online reviews and pictures of Mecca don't get me excited about going there.

As for the idea of not going to Mecca due to their Wisconsin 'tie in', I get it. I know Michigan, Kansas, Texas, Notre Dame and UCLA guys who avoid bars because of them being 'rival' bars, but I guess those schools suffer from little brother syndrome.

Keep buying those Warrior shirts. I think the guy who provides them to Goolsby's is a big, big MU fan.

I bought five for myself and some buddies before the Wisconsin game :-)

Spread the word. Full disclosure, I have nothing to gain from the shirts, but have heard the guy behind them knows his Warrior stuff.

So, next month, when I make my first visit to Fiserve, I will see everybody at Goolsby's beforehand?

Or you can meet sultan at the Mecca.   Your call.

There's a difference between being a (enter team name) bar and being a bar that hosted a pregame event for (enter team name).  There are Marquette bars in Chicago. Kettle of Fish in NYC is a Packers bar. The MECCA is a crappy bar (bad food and service) that hosted an event for a bunch of clowns. It's not a Badger bar. Says more about the Badgers that they decided that'd be the spot to have it. Only positive about it is location. Guess their fans were able to avoid most of the scary Milwaukee streets by making it so close to the arena.

I hear they play the scanner at the Mecca when 4ever dines there.
