You think your boy Shaka blames this whiff of a transfer on his injury as an escape goat if/when the season falls apart?

No, because Shaka has yet to make any excuses to this point so I don't expect him to ever start.

Nobody has beat UW this year. I think that's quite the overreaction.

I vote beat Georgia Tech 1st and worry about what's next later.  And while we're at it, let's make the computers like our performance tonight too.

It's called hyperbole.

By the way, Wisconsin's last three opponents shot a combined 7-58 from 3. A whopping 12.1%!  What a lucky horseshoe to still be undefeated.

Hopefully we don’t have to find out!

I actually think Zach will become productive soon. I’m not sure why I think that, but I can’t question my brain just yet.

Watched the GT v Utah game in person and both teams were pretty bad.  The championship game was Miss St and MU. GT and Utah are small. Utah has Carlson who is tall but no bulk. Struggled down low.

GT struggles to shoot period. Their free throw shooting is just as bad as their 3pt shooting.  The only reason the game was remotely close was because Utah had 19 TOs.

Unlike Miss St GT is small. They only have one player over 6’8”, < a handful around 6’7 and everyone else is <6’3. They played a four guard lineup and put Franklin down low. Smith is fast and active on defense. Coleman is just ok.

If MU doesn’t win, I will be disappointed.  If MU can control their TOs this could be a pretty one sided game.

I feel really good about us beating UW-Madison.  They aren't very athletic, nor are they very physical - which in past years you could make a case for them being physical.  Losing Johnny Davis and Brad Davison were big losses.  Look at their roster - pretty meh.  Our athleticism should cause them problems.

Dayton, which is proving to not be nearly as good as expected, lost by one to WI today on a neutral floor while playing terribly. Some of that due to WI, but a lot of it self-inflicted. I expect us to beat Madison at home.

Impressive game.

Georgia Tech was worse than I thought.  Hopefully MU can play like this against real opponents.

They've played good but not good enough. Let's steam roll Chicago State and then try to avoid going 0-3 against NCAA caliber teams.

When asked how he felt about Marquette being picked to finish ninth in the Big East, Tyler Kolek only had two words:

Yes, hopefully Marquette will "find a way" against real opponents better than Madison "always found a way" against Wojo.

Totally.

And Chicken Little #1 predicted a loss to Georgia Tech, so I feel darn good that he'll be wrong about Madison, too.

GE03 is being melodramatic as is his custom. He's not wrong that this is an important win for our tournament resume. The Big East is underperforming in non-conference play so far. If that continues, there may not be a lot of opportunities for resume padding once conference play starts up. If we don't win 2/3 of Baylor, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, it may mean having to win 13+ games in the Big East in order to get a bid. Which is doable though not a position I would want to be in. Personally I think we will beat Wisconsin and Baylor. I also think we win by double digits tonight. Watched GT against Utah and didn't see much to be scared about. Utah was practically begging them to win the game by throwing the ball away over and over again (and at least of half of this was dumb mistakes by Utah, not pressure by GT) and they couldn't get it done.
