This years non-conference schedule
« on: November 30, 2022, 01:32:45 PM »
Seems like this is as good a non-conference schedule, in terms of the quality of opponents, in forever.  Close losses @ Purdue & vs Miss State (both of whom are undefeated), blowout Ws vs G'Tech & Baylor, with additional opportunities vs UW-M and @ Notre Dame.  Even the true buy game teams, Radford and NC Central, aren't going to drag down the ranking. If they can knock off UW-M & ND, it would be a great non-con season.

Buy games don't "drag down the ranking" anymore. That only happened under RPI. With NET it doesn't matter who you play it just matters how well you play them. Playing LIU is fine, we just had to beat them by 30+.

At this point both Radford and Chicago State are going to drag down our ranking because the final margin was smaller than it should have been. LIU and CMU will both elevate the ranking because the final margin was larger than it should have been. Remains to be seen on NCCU.

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

If by forever you mean since last season
