We're small, and can't really take advantage of it on the offensive end. I fear it's going to be a long season.

3 seconds left, have to move the ball down the court via the pass. Kam Jones was maddening tonight.

Very frustrating loss on multiple levels.  Lots of concern moving forward from my vantage point.

Yeah I was surprised he took the ball from 90 feet and took a 3 quarter court shot. Thought they could have at least gotten a 40 footer.

team doesn't make enough winning plays down the stretch. lack of rebounding and shooting is not a good combination. not sold on shaka at all right now. I just don't see us being any good this year. for a basketball only school the lack of success for years and years is growing old

Predictable loss. Too much dead weight on bench. How does Shaka not see the need to recruit a rebounder?!?!

i really wasn't. no timeouts, a team with not the best basketball IQ, and lack of poise, plus a guy who likes to chuck shots.....

Great point.  The pass is faster than the dribble.

They've lost 2 close games to 2 likely NCAA teams.  MU is a young team; leadership is still emerging.  They could be getting fat on buy games, but they're playing good teams instead.  Tough lessons in November will result in a wins in February.  They'll be okay.

tough to lose two close games where we lead late in both. need a few non con wins. beat tech then go 2-1 against baylor, ND, and UW and its a solid non con season.

the big east is down this year, need to pick up some quality wins now if you really expect this team to make the ncaa

Eh I think this turns out to be a bad loss. SEC is super deep this year and I think Miss State gets swallowed in it. It’s super important MU gets the win Wednesday.

Someone who can create their own shot besides kam would be nice. Then an average rebounder. Shouldnt be too much of an ask. Shakas track record of bigs at texas not translating here and with no scholies left next year (one over), I dont see how we will fix this problem. Dont get me wrong im thrilled to recruit norman and lowery but jesus OMAX and Osos offense are killers!

Shaka has got to tell Kam to stop jacking up shots from 30 feet out.  His shot selection is maddening.

There were some good things tonight, though.  It was great to see Kolek make some threes.  If he starts making shots, he becomes so much more valuable and defenses can drop back like they have.  I also loved our defense tonight.  Super aggressive and created a lot of turnovers. Lastly, Sean Jones is gonna be fun to watch.  Let’s get a win on Wednesday!

Mississippi State is not a Tourney team.
