Wait, bench guys are scrubs?  I thought we were supposed to be 10 deep, and you wanted playing time for bench guys.

In the Gagdet Game at The Al they were bench players. At Purdue, they were scrubs. COLE

We've been swapping between starting 5 and bench players all game, its not like we've been riding the starters hard...

We're up 35 though vs a horrific team with 9 mins left

Good. Was a much better coach when he didn’t have hair. Grinder back then.

It seems like the whole purpose of scheduling this team is to get live action, oh and a win.  Might as well keep playing everyone to get their conditioning up.

Not that LIU was ever going to be a great opponent.  But missing one of their main guards isn't helping the competition level.

I did not know that. Oh well, I’m just going to stew over the fact that Omax couldn’t make one more stinking shot to be 12-12

Yeah, his 12 ppg would have cut lead to 31.  LIU would lose to several Junior College teams.

Good court experience for the young MU players, that’s about it for this matchup.

Ya....I have to admit we can't glean much from this one.

Also will give OMax fans more NBA ammo!

Speaking of Ammo...this is a game in which he would have excelled.

Would be slightly surprised if MU plays a good game tonight. Has trap game written all over it. Though trap game in this case is “only win by 15” vs actually losing the game.

I was wrong. Impressed with how they looked tonight, even against a bunny.

Have you ever understood sarcasm about leaving starters in a blowout?

edit: but since you made me look (at Kenpom, not NET, since it's not published early season), last year against cupcakes...MU started 87, after beating SIUe dropped to 90, after beating New Hamshire dropped to 95...skip ahead...entered playing N Ill. as 78, dropped to 83 after the win, then finally up to 78 after beating Jackson State.  Overall, scoring margin didn't help out computer #s early - so I'll take this as a win this year.  #'s have improved after every game.
