Hm, I agree.  And while the bench will* get more play today - I doubt LIU is going to help them get BE ready.

Would be slightly surprised if MU plays a good game tonight. Has trap game written all over it. Though trap game in this case is “only win by 15” vs actually losing the game.

He has been playing alot, along with Sean Jones and Wrightsill.  More Ross, less Wrightsell please.

Ben Gold hit his first three pointer few games ago and now has missed his last ten. Ten……
In Shaka’s system, no problem, just keep them threes going, soon they will fall.  Keep on throwing them up.

LIU terrible, their starters may foul out.  Good experience for bench as Shaka will soon cut rotations before BE play.

But this the Shaka game plan and has been since his arrival at MU.  Average over 30 attempts per game. If they hot, they can win. Joplin saved them from blowout from Purdue with his hot second half. Right now 4 for 16.

LIU is brutally bad, maybe worst team they have played in years.

Only 8 assists for Kiosk.

Disappointing.

It seems like the whole purpose of scheduling this team is to get live action, oh and a win.  Might as well keep playing everyone to get their conditioning up.
We didn't schedule is part of Ft Myers tournament, scheduled by them.

I did not know that. Oh well, I’m just going to stew over the fact that Omax couldn’t make one more stinking shot to be 12-12

Not that LIU was ever going to be a great opponent.  But missing one of their main guards isn't helping the competition level.

Yeah, his 12 ppg would have cut lead to 31.  LIU would lose to several Junior College teams.

Good court experience for the young MU players, that’s about it for this matchup.

Ya....I have to admit we can't glean much from this one.

Also will give OMax fans more NBA ammo!

Speaking of Ammo...this is a game in which he would have excelled.

Would be slightly surprised if MU plays a good game tonight. Has trap game written all over it. Though trap game in this case is “only win by 15” vs actually losing the game.

I was wrong. Impressed with how they looked tonight, even against a bunny.

MU 11 for 35 from three.

With:  Kam Jones  1 for 8
          Joplin.        2 for 7
          Sean Jones 1 for 5

Total for them:  4 for 20

Have you ever understood sarcasm about leaving starters in a blowout?

edit: but since you made me look (at Kenpom, not NET, since it's not published early season), last year against cupcakes...MU started 87, after beating SIUe dropped to 90, after beating New Hamshire dropped to 95...skip ahead...entered playing N Ill. as 78, dropped to 83 after the win, then finally up to 78 after beating Jackson State.  Overall, scoring margin didn't help out computer #s early - so I'll take this as a win this year.  #'s have improved after every game.

Reading this thread I'd have thought MU was struggling to win.  Instead we coast to a 37 point victory and some Scoopers in meltdown mode.  WTAF?

Joplin is shooting 46% so far. Kam needs better shot selection. Wasn’t expecting much shooting from Jones.

I think we need 3 guys to shoot the trifecta well to beat the best teams.  O-Max looked pretty good tonight.

So I suppose you're in the .500 record ceiling for this team?  That would suck.
