Akron joins Big East Men’s Soccer

Starting 2023. The MAC dissolved for soccer. This is a nice pick up for the Big East in Men's Soccer. They are a good program going back 3 different head coaches.

Lol, well, technically, no. Jared "Iggy" Embick is a St. Louis guy. He's been their head coach since 2013, and was their top assistant prior since 2007.

They had a couple of really good D-3 seasons about 5 years ago or so, deeper NCAA runs.....however outside of that, most of the past decade they were a competitive D-3 program, winning record but not make the D-3 NCAA Tourney.

They have been getting crushed their first couple of D-1 seasons.
