Kuath didn't play. I tried to see if he was in uniform on the bench but couldn't tell.

Good first outing for Lewis. Made a couple dunks early, hit a nice pull-up J when the bulls were rallying, made a really nice driving bucket that would have been an and-1 if he had hit the FT, had 5 or so boards, and had a couple good passes including a hockey assist on the go-ahead basket after a steal. Looked really mobile and mostly stayed in front of his man. Missed two open 3s, going just long on both. Nice to see him get the start and also be in at crunch time.

Not a bad first outing, definitely needs to work on his rotational defense (as do all rookies)

He definitely did some ball-watching. Quite common, as you say.

Morsell with some run in the Jazz win. 5 points, 1-2 from 3. The final score was very Wisconsin-like.

I didn't watch the Celtics-Heat game live but I fast-forwarded through it to watch pieces of it. Sam did OK with some nice passes and rebounds in traffic, but he missed every 3 he took (I think), got several shots blocked and was torched a couple times on D. And I don't think Jamal got off Miami's bench (assuming he was sitting on it - I never saw a shot of their bench).

I actually watched.  Hauser was terrible on offense and got burned on defense.  He shot 2-12 overall and 1 for 9 on threes.  Not a worthy performance to say the least.  Summer league games are not very good and only watched to get a short glimpse of higher drafts choices.  Noticed in box score that Cain was in safety and protocols, so must be a Covid thing.

Is that Sam or chico?

Actually he is almost as tall as his vehicle, so it has to be Sam.

I didn't get to see the Bulls game yesterday and my ESPN replay app isn't working for some reason. Anybody see it? How did Justin do?

Theo was supposed to play for the T-Wolves but a knee injury has kept him out of summer league.

Oh, and speaking of Theo, all of you with size 16 feet may want to check out his merchandise store on instagram:

Sam had 12 vs the Bucks.  Started the game and played 18 minutes.

Mamu had 28 for the Bucks along 9 boards.

Interesting that the Knicks only signed Trevor Keels to a two way contract.  The #42 pick got the same deal Justin Lewis got as an UDFA.

Yup.  Getting a two-way a few minutes after the draft ends is basically getting pick 40th-58th. Teams only have 2 two-ways.  This isn't like Ben Brust getting a invite to Bucks training camp.

Most of the non-international players drafted in the second round get two-way contracts. Lewis didn't really lose anything being "the best player not drafted," except perhaps for a little pride. He has said that will motivate him; if it does, then it could turn out to have been a very good thing. Would be great if he could be this era's Wes Matthews!
