Those are the cumulative scores of our last 3 NCAA Tournament appearances. Losses by 20. 19, and 32. It's hard to understand how teams who made the tournament can be so overmatched and perform  so badly.

As I posted in another thread the NCAA committee needs to go back to looking at the last 10 games. Our last two tournament appearances were with teams that were in the tank.

I don't agree with this.  Just because you are blown out, that doesn't mean you didn't belong.  The beginning of the season is just as important as the end.  Marquette undoubtedly belonged.

No.  Please pay attention to what I am responding to.  To determine whether or not a team gets into the NCAA tournament, the record in the "last ten" should bear no extra weight like it used to.  How they performed using the metrics involved should be no different at any point during the season.

Sure.  Ask him.  Game #17 has no more weight than Game #1 when it comes to the NFL playoffs.  So that is consistent with my point.

That's a valid argument on selection Sunday. But, we just got blown out in embarassing fashion. We've been blown out in every NCAA tourney game we've played in over the last decade. Any at large teams who get waxed in the tournament clearly don't belong despite what your precious metrics say.

Of course they belonged in the tournament and seeded about where they were.  Stating otherwise is silly.

And I would say that about any time that was "waxed."  A bad game doesn't invalidate the process.

If someone besides Gonzaga wins it all you can try to convince everyone that Gonzaga was ackshully the best team because they had some solid wins in November. People will look at you like you're a little slow, but you've got the metrics on your side.

In 2018, Virginia was 31-3.  They were the ACC regular season and tournament champion.  By the end of the season, they were the #1 team in the country.  They were the #1 seed and lost by 20 to the #16 seed UMBC.  Are you saying they didn't deserve to be a #1 seed because of the results of that one game?  Because if you carry your statement to the extreme, that's pretty much what you are saying.

I didn't say tourney results don't matter.  I am not even talking about how a fan base determines if its season is a success.  I am only talking about how teams are selected and seeded for the tournament.  You have failed to follow the topic, got all emotional when I pointed that out to you, yet you still don't seem to understand that.
