Why the f*ck wasn't elliot in in the second OT? Sure glad we're losing with a timeout in the bag...

Inexcusable not to foul at the end of the first OT. First horrible loss of Shaka Smart’s tenure. 100% on him.

Can’t believe Shaka didn’t call a timeout. They’re dog tired. GE isn’t in the game

You can’t make up for 30 min of laziness followed by Smart’s blunder.

Coaching matters, folks.

McDermott uses their 3 fouls at the end of regulation so MU can't get any rhythm on a final play.

Shaka doesn't foul up 3 with a few seconds left and Creighton hits the game tying 3 even after taking a few dribbles before shooting.

Shaka lost this one no doubt.  But you actually think McDermott is a good coach?  I mean, he's fine I guess but I have never been all that impressed.

All you can do is chuckle I guess. Creighton handed to us and we just punted it away. Tough scene.
I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

I'm super proud of the team despite the loss. We made it a close game against all the odds. Creighton is a solid program and we're just not on that level.

Not fouling up 3. Not calling any timeouts in OT when we were soooo tired and forcing bad shots. Not getting GE in the game down 3. Really bad stuff from Shaka. This one is on him and this is his first bad loss because of it.

I think he's an OK coach overall, but he did the smart thing at the end of regulation here.

Shaka really cost us this one.

On second thought, I’m retracting this for now. Are we sure Oso didn’t blow it and not execute the plan?

He needs time to learn on the job. He’s in his first year at MU. Patience.

First loss of the year that was on the coaching. Not fouling up 3 is an embarrassing decision, especially for a staff that preaches analytics and probabilities.

I am a trust the process guy and am also an emotional human. I’m pretty disappointed with this one even though we clawed back from down 17 and playing poorly, we absolutely handed them the game. Terrible decision making all around at the end, I can’t say it was terrible all game as they fought back, but damn I’m a little frustrated. Okay, back to my beer, barefoot, in sunny New Smyrna Beach. Happy New Year Scoop!

Against MU a few years ago, Mac was up 3 with under a second AND had the ball…and lost after two completely inexcusable coaching lapses in a row. He’s not an example of a “good” coach.

I think his best coaching attribute is his genes.
