January 1st game is nit most invigorating anyway. Smaller tired cried. Team hasn’t played in a couple weeks. Students mostly out. And we aren’t s ori g or creating exciting plays. All makes for low energy game.

Was thinking same on body language and he seems lazy out there. Looking for fouls. Needs a talking to by coaches and get him fired up. He and Elliot should be scoring, Need to go to hoop and draw fouls. Because our shooting leaves a bit to be desired. Lol

I think they’ve gotten decent looks. They just don’t make them. I’m not sure if we run good offense and just can’t finish off the shots. Or if the defense is allowing decent looks to focus on the rebound since we will likely miss.
Still, if we can get this to 5 at half and start hitting shots, we can win this.

Kolek is now 6 for his last 40 on threes. He also missed another two layups and had three turnovers. He needs more than rhythm.
CU has not played in 15 days, longer than MU so thats not excuse. Team is just not offensively gifted.

He’s uhhhhh….not been good. Shot blocking is good but don’t even feel like he’s a great defender even with it. Offensively has some touch in there somewhere but been missing bunnies for a few weeks.
Oso on the other hand has these flashes where you could see him developing into a monster at some point.

Terrible defense in the paint followed by a failed dunk leading to a three is a pretty big shift with 6 mins. As soon as we took him out, things starting turning again.

I am a trust the process guy and am also an emotional human. I’m pretty disappointed with this one even though we clawed back from down 17 and playing poorly, we absolutely handed them the game. Terrible decision making all around at the end, I can’t say it was terrible all game as they fought back, but damn I’m a little frustrated. Okay, back to my beer, barefoot, in sunny New Smyrna Beach. Happy New Year Scoop!

Against MU a few years ago, Mac was up 3 with under a second AND had the ball…and lost after two completely inexcusable coaching lapses in a row. He’s not an example of a “good” coach.

I’m not one of those who screams the team should have fouled whenever an opponent makes a tying three-point shot in the final 10 seconds.
But, in this situation it should have been pretty easy to foul whoever was going to receive the inbound pass before he could catch it and get into a shooting motion.
Unless one of the players failed to carry out an instruction, that was a major coaching blunder in my book.

Last night was our worst game of the year..every team has a clunker along the way. Sure hope our players show more resolve than some in our fanbase who are off the rails.
