1.  Slow starts two straight games.
2.  The half court offense is pick and roll and dribble drive.  I have seen three sets run in two games.  Any open 3 is a good look, regardless of shooter.  Then try and get to the rim.
3.  UNH succeeded in slowing down the game, forcing MU to play a half court game.
4.  Through 2 games, Osa>>>Kur.
5.  It is clear that everyone has the green light from 3.  I think this is the long game.  Get them use to shooting.  Eventually, they will start hitting.
6.  Glad to see EE on the floor.
7.  It pains me, but Butch did a nice job of explaining the freshmen mistakes and process.  He sounds like Dakich without the arrogance.
8.  I am ready to see Greg hitting some catch and shoot 3's.
9.  So many needless fouls.
10.  Funny how free throws always seem to matta at the end.
11.  MU has now seen two completely different styles.  They have struggled and fought and hacked and slapped and slopped.   They could be 0-2, but they aren't.  It is a process.

Well, a win is a win.  I was nervous before that game, and most of it.  But W.

I am listening to the games with Homer this year, so everything was very positive.  We won. Built some character.

I thought Butch was really good. And, yes, reminds me/sounds like Dakich.

Agree.  I was expecting him to not be good at all.  Pleasantly surprised.

I am.  There is nothing to lose and so many lessons to be learned.

How much pain are we talking about?   How should we prepare?

Without Cockburn, Frazier and Curbelo? Single digit loss.

First of all, thank you Brother Tower for your insightful instant analysis. It's the first thing I do after our games.

Second, we're gullible. Every team we play is going to collapse inside until we start hitting threes. They give us the long range jumper knowing Markus Howard is way in the rear view mirror and Dawson Garcia ply's his wares in North Carolina. For now, our game is inside.

Gosh, I hope Greg is back soon. He can really help this team.

As to Monday, there is something about this team that rises to the occasion. We seem to find a way in the end. Illinois has some problems too ... so we shall see. Don't write our guys off before Monday, very late!

Maybe Shaka's strategy is to just play good enough to win.
Have some patience, FFS.

Brown took UNC to the wire.  You never know what could happen in college hoops.  Maybe our guys rise to the occasion with the 1st big test?

12. Morsell is really, really good
13. We commit way too many silly fouls (lots of unnecessary reaches and grabs)
14. Stevie Mitchell will be good but see #13.

Goal is National Championship

Garcia sat the bench the last 6 minutes.

And Illinois without Kofi *clobbered* an Arkansas St.team 92-53 that in theory is way better than New Hampshire.  Not to mention the 71-47 drubbing of Jackson St. who is also theoretically better than UNH.

I'm not optimistic about the IL game, but I'll be watching regardless.   Maybe the home court will be worth 30 points or so :)

Arkansas St. has one win over a liberal arts school in Arkansas. No one is properly ranked in this season yet.

Good news is any result with single digits next week is fine.

Hate to say it, but Kur & OMax are not BE-ready interior players. They will get eaten.

Morsell and Lewis (our unquestioned leaders) took over when they needed to.

Strangely quiet night from Kolek (0-5 from 3). Sat for long periods. More hurt than we thought?

It's going to be tougher than I thought/hoped/wished to get this group playing together well.
So far, this does not look like an over .500 BE-season team. I can accept that as a transition year with almost everyone new. I'm hanging on to the thought that others have voiced, that (for once in recent history) we can play better later in the year. It does make sense, with all the transfers and frosh. We can only hope.

Overall took care of the ball pretty well yet again.

Haven't went full flop with the ball like teams of the past
