Those are the three everyone is referring to
Nope. Not everyone, and not even close.
Others are discussing Sy....Greg.....Cain......Theo..and Koby.

You're underrating how responsible poor coaching was for our results last year. Just wait and see.
You think Perez, Dez, Sy will improve under a different coach? This coach?
I sure as hell hope we aren't going to find the answer to that experiment.

It helps that the players can't follow Wojo to his next program.

At least, not yet...
Have some patience, FFS.

I think every player on the team will improve significantly and the team will improve as a whole simply by virtue of having a cohesive gameplan.

Again...I sure hope with the new regime we are past the Perez and Sy of the world. My desire...and I believe Shaka's is that the Jake Presutti, Sy, Perez, Dex are somewhere else to improve.
5 dollar—you really hated Wojo so much that you think that all of these players ....that Wojo recruited....can be high level Big East players...if they only had a different coach.

I dont understand why people thought this exodus was going to occur. When buzz took over from Crean the roster was basically the same. Same with when Buzz left.

Buzz's first team was a senior laden team with a strong junior class. The team was hoping for big things. typically seniors don't transfer because it delays their pro-career nor when they expect big things.  However, the recruiting class all decommitted except for Otule causing Buzz to go the Juco route. Buzz's biggest challenge was in year two when he had the midgets and the big three left.

A coaching change rarely ends with no impact.

When Buzz left he took the entire recruiting class less Sandy. Unlike what he inherited we didn't have near the talent in the upperclassman ranks. We were coming off a down year and lost the major offensive pieces from that team. Wilson was coming off a redshirt freshman season driven by injury. Deonte lasted two months into Wojo's tenure. Magic Dawson was out too. This left 2 fifths of the previous class.

Yep. Contrary to Dodds who was preaching doom and gloom if Wojo got let go.

Dodds is wrong most of the time, so what else is new?

Yes. I don't believe I can overstate this - Wojo was the worst in-game / development / gameplan / motivational basketball coach I have ever seen.

Not overly worried there. I actually think Shaka might keep this team better than Wojo would have.

Are you kidding on the players following Wojo? You and glow have been gone for awhile and I need to refresh my memory when folks are kidding or serious.

There was not much high level D1 talent on the roster. Time to look forward, find new favorite players and enjoy the upgrade. Change is good.

Have a strong feeling we won%u2019t be seeing any type of mass exodus that had been incessantly prophesied prior to the firing of he-who-shall-not-be-named.
Aren't you the same guy who said "There's no way all three of Carton, Lewis and Garcia are back next year"?

That was when the assumption was we were keeping Wojo. If Wojo stayed, my money would've been on Carton transferring again or going pro a la Bailey.

Ok—fine. That doesn't mean Perez will be a legit D1 player because he is under the guidance of a different coach.
Wojo leaving doesn't mean these players just got better.

What I was referring to was the morons that preached a mass exodus if we fired Wojo. I thought there was a better chance of us losing players like Carton or Garcia by KEEPING Wojo. These two thoughts are compatible. No surprise you're having trouble processing them, though. You've not been very apt with your words historically.

Wojo had a knack for using almost every player on the roster incorrectly / inconsistently. Let's just see what happens next year. I'm not guaranteeing Perez turns into an All conference next year, but dramatic improvements from everyone would not be surprising.

I think Carton will benefit most, for the record. If he stays - I predict he makes an All Big East team.

Go back and read what posted. If you don't understand the irony of you making the above statement then there is no help for you.

With the way you pivot and shift the goal posts you should run for office.

Didn't"t Shaka just elude to the high level talent at the presser.

I read it, explained why you made no sense, and moved the conversation along.

Go ahead and do your famous "Bitcher" line, Jables. We're all waiting for it - it's a real knee slapper!

Maybe you misunderstood what I was trying to say.  When Buzz left, he took almost all of his new recruits to his new job.  Wojo doesn't have a new job.  Therefore,  as of this moment, following Wojo to his new school is not an option.
Have some patience, FFS.
