Let's talk about the roster/recruits w/Shaka

I mean idk what he's seen but he played 38min and was decent against UCLA and looked like an average freshman outside of that.

Banking scholarships is a thing of the past in my view. Get as many talented guys as you think can contribute. Things sort themselves out so that there is almost always room to take the recruits you really want.

No point in banking scholie's these days. Numbers say somebody is going to transfer, especially when "free" transfers becomes a permanent thing.

This is very cool because there were those who thought Kam would go elsewhere. Definitely doesn't look like a post from somebody who wants to be anything but a Warrior!

This. Now that Shaka is our coach, I trust him 100% to select the players that will help our program win big.

here's my rub on Jones. He has no outside game. That release is grade school weak. Now, Vander didn't exactly have a pretty...or consistent...outside shot either, and some have said Jones' game is more-so slashing, cutting. But I'd like to think Shaka might do better here. Or, maybe Jones is a RS candidate to develop?

Massive.  And not only that but has been public about getting other guys here (whether we'd want a Rocket Watts for not).  Crucial start, now work on the Garcia and Lewis and start getting new and re-commitments racked up.

You build around DJ. The other pieces are much easier. I believe that in ten years DJ is going to be very thankful that Shaka came to MU. As importantly, I believe DJ is going to be the building block for Shaka era.

I think it is interesting that we have heard from Kam but nothing from Stevie.

It seems to me that Kam might be a better fit for what Shaka wants from guards with his size and length.  Bates also fits that description.  Mitchell as I recall is shorter and isn't considered as athletic.

Really? That's a surprising take on Stevie, I only know Nova fans were ticked that they let a prospect they considered a huge sleeper get away.

It's possible, but TJO was the link to many Wisconsin players that went to ISU. He hasn't been there awhile, but I don't think it's automatic that Hunter reopens his recruitment.
