The guy has never had any clue on the subject of Wojo's firing.  He said something along the lines of, "I don't know what y'all are hearing thinking Wojo is safe, but what I'm hearing is he'll be gone," suggesting he had some great insider knowledge nobody else had.  Then when asked follow-up questions, he immediately said something along the lines of, "You think I'd make any guarantees with Lovell and Scholl running the show?  How can anyone know what they'll do?!"  Literally admitting he has no clue and no inside information.

My thought is I do not trust Lovell at all.  say there was some large donors who would buy out or help buy out his contract, I still don't know if I could count on Lovell to make a change.   That's all my point was.

If MU is considering moving on from Wojo, they're likely already working on lining up his replacement. They don't need to publicly announce anything to do that.

My guess is that if there's going to be a change - and that's a big IF, IMO - it would only happen if/when they're confident they've got their guy. They're not going to fire their coach and bumble through a weeks long  search and get publicly rejectedby a couple of targets, a la St. John's a couple of years ago.

It's easy to drag the admin but what have the done to supposedly show love for Wojo?

1) They extended him...you have to do that in college hoops and you don't know how the deal was structured and who it favored

2) They play cheerleader for him...well they're paying him and he's their coach, today.  The days of the Football coach being the AD and calling out the hoops coach are long gone.  Admins are going to smile on the outside right up until they fire a guy.  Name another school that was tipping it's hand during a season.
