Figured it would happen.   Surprised it happened so quickly.

That one is false. There is no current lifetime ban for DT on the table. (Hopefully that will change at some point.)

PGA of America decided to not to wait until DT left office, and decided to do it tonight.

And Trump Turnberry out of the Open rotation as well for now. I think this stuff hurt him more than regular folks think because he always wanted one of his name courses to get a major.

On another note, is there a more picturesque view than coming down the 18th hole at the Plantation Course? If I get back to Hawaii I'm going to do my best to play that course.

I was getting a severe case of wanderlust watching Kapalua.   Moreso than usual.

Has anybody had a chance to watch the new Tiger Woods documentary?   Also, does anyone have a home golf simulator?  I'm in the process of building a new garage and looking at adding a Uneekor eye xo simulator in it.

I hope they can move it to Whistling Straits. It was a huge loss for the local economy here to lose the PGA last year.

The Ryder Cup was to have been at WS last year.  It was rescheduled for 2021.

You're right it was Ryder, it was PGA a few years back.
Well maybe Blackwolf Run could host it. They are also trying to build a brand new course on the south side of Sheboygan with the intent of having it host large PGA tournaments.

Moving the PGA Championship to May effectively eliminates the upper midwest from hosting it.

I’m kind of curious what happens next for Whistling Straits after the Ryder Cup. Unless the PGA gets moved back to August, I don’t think they ever get another major.

My soon to be BIL has a facility with a pair of TrackMan simulators.   They are incredible, obviously a bit pricier, but he used to have a Uneekor at his parents house which got him thinking and leading to the facility he has now.  The putting is a bit weird to get used to, but otherwise they are fantastic and fun to play.

Started watching the Tiger doc. Good so far, but haven't seen much of it yet.

Not on the men's side, no.

Women's PGA, maybe? Erin Hills is getting the women's Open in 2025.

They don’t really need to host a major.

I’d just like if Chicago/Milwaukee had a regular tour stop again.

It is insane that Chicago doesn't have a tour event. Tens of thousands of fans packed Cog Hill every single year. There were people calling the Western Open "the 5th major."

And now, Chicago doesn't have a tour event?

I know ... it all comes down to an advertiser willing to pony up the big bucks. Surprised that hasn't happened, either, with all the bazillion-dollar corporations there.

My thinking on attending a professional golf tournament has always been if I have 5 hours free to go watch others play golf, I'd rather just go play a round of golf myself.

Tigers career is over.

Probably, but the usually suspects will still be out here saying he looks great whenever he hits a good drive and will win another 5 majors

I hope he breaks the record for PGA tour wins and most majors. I've always been a tiger fan.

But he's now had multiple microdiscs (we don't know which levels) and 1 fusion. Then now another microdisc (has to be at least one additional level beyond the fusion). All within a few years?

As someone with extensive spine experience, it would be a miracle if he can continue to compete with the best in the game with how thoroughly and quickly his back is breaking down. (Not to mention his knee history)

Six of the last 10 have been in Chicago. Not really a 'regular PGA stop' at all.
