While I agree with what you said, he did not develop any further after Wojo either.

That wasn’t my point though. It was this stupid notion that Ellenson failed the program and set it back a couple, few years.

I think you misinterpreted it. He may not be responsible, and I agree that it's ultimately on Wojo but his presence DID set team growth back and whether or not it's warranted part of that frustration was bound to be directed toward Henry.

As far as your notion of whether or not to accept a player who's top 10, we'll agree to disagree at the time I'd have agreed but with the added advantage of hindsight I think we'd have been better in 2017 & 2018 without Henry.

As talented as he was, he was soft.

Henry was drafted by the Pistons.  I watched him several times when the Pistons G League affiliate was in town.  My impression of him was that he hadn't progressed.   Could still fill up a stat sheet.  Struggled with the athleticism of G league forwards.  Struggled to defend.  Struggled with figuring out how to use his teammates, how to make them better.   Would still grab a defensive rebound, bring it up court and ultimately take a shot without a teammate touching the ball.

Jose Perez, in a shocking turn of events, is leaving his studies behind and skipping out on ASU to play overseas, effective immediately. #muMbb has yet another pro alumnus!

Incredible Quote from Jose in this article :

https://www.eurobasket.com/Basketball-Box-Score.aspx?Game=2024_0310_108_100-Spain

22 three point attempts for Markus.  Made 8.

Also the other team had Jabari Parker and satoransky.  Good league.

…by way of Boeheim’s Army 😂. The Iranians are like…know nothin’ about this ‘Army’, but the Yank can ball.
Need to know…how much would you have to be paid to ball in Iran?

Gorgeous country, great people, amazing food...but also the Islamic Republic which sort of negates a lot of the other pluses.

FWIW, the Iranian league is among the most stable/well paying in the Middle East, so worse places to be in that way if you're not in Europe or China/Taiwan.  Surprised he's not still playing in PR.

Also, funny enough, Buycks current team in Iran is also the former employer of a certain Ousmane Barro.

Totally.  Its Exhibit A of "if life were different, life would be different." Would love to spend time in Iran but with geopolitics being what they are, it would take next to nothing for Dwight or Jamail to find themselves in the next Brittany Griner situation.

Swaggy Du finished another outstanding season in Europe. His German ProA team was second in the regular season but unfortunately lost in the quarterfinals of Playoffs so they will not get promoted to highest German league

Vander having another solid season in Mexico. His team is in the semifinals . Seems like Vanders teams always do reasonably well in the foreign leagues he has played in.
