Worse than the game, worse than the refs, worse than the fans, were the TV crew. One comment was that he "handled the ball like like it was a tangerine". Never shut up so we could watch the game -- are all press who cover the game told NEVER have any time that you are not bloviating? Finally had to turn off the sound.

(I actually kinda liked that line)

It’s kind of crazy how not a single player had a good game today. Like everyone was bad

But they looked so good in those uniforms adorned with BLM patches. Making political statements is far more important than playing quality basketball.

Very simple... we’ve got no 3 point shooting. The future formula to beat us has been revealed; just play zone and rebound the bricks. Poor Garcia.
Poor Garcia?  Hard to zone a team when you have a 6'11" kid that has a good mid game and can hit the 3.  He wasn't used correctly at all.

Folks get tired of rants against Wojo, but what happened in this game is a multi-game annual occurrence. 15-0 runs. No answer for a zone. Players seemingly unenthused. And, it would appear, the roster is once again unbalanced as outside shooting is suspect. Wojo has recruited some nice players during his time at MU, but never a cohesive team.  I anticipate a better effort on Friday, but the result will be another L to RED.
Moron? Maybe. Dork? Possibly. Lost? Definitely.

I am of two minds.  The team has all new pieces and very little time together b/c of COVID--so there is a rational out.  However, because of the coaching track record, I am not sure that it's a good excuse.

The fact we have seen this movie over and over again clearly keeps building frustration.  Plus the rotations, the use of our skillsets and the fact we were trying to dibble through a zone for 15 mins was just so wrong.  Instead of 'hey they haven't worked on this' it looked like 'we have no idea what to do and are receiving poor direction'.

We're the announcers in the arena last night or were they calling the game from a studio?

Early season hoops has its painful moments and teams will suck on occasion.  Last night we saw what has been painfully often for awhile.  Is it a single occurrence or will the team grow from it and improve?

No one expects an undefeated season, many teams MU will play are better.  But playing lost and confused repeatedly is simply bad coaching and an abuse of player’s talent that they have entrusted with MU.

Many of us are tired of the same problems demonstrated year after year and nervously await that they finally improve.

Frustration with not being able to solve the zone defense that OK State threw at us.  Bobby Knight, when a color commentator said, if they throw a 2-3 zone at you you feed a guy at the free throw line which opens things up.  If a 3-2 you flood the baseline with three guys.  We have guys who can hit a a three, including Garcia and Cain.

It’s a mystery.

Your words are perfect! Fans are upset with Wojo's failures but it is easy to forget that the players are really the ones he let down. They get a lot of the blame and have a right to good coaching. I have always believed that an entire team cannot fail in unison. Whether the team is Marquette or Hicksville College is irrelevant. A so-called team wide failure is simply a cover story for bad coaching.

Bad coaching is there, but players are on the floor and yesterday to often they did not understand clock management.  I would expect the Badgers to not play any
zone, not in there make-up but play as good as man D as anyone in the country.  Lets see how they play against that.  Then maybe against GB, they might see some
zone if Will Ryan is smart enough to do that.  More concerned when they go to Creighton, try and not get blown out there.  The point guards have to be better.  Carton
has to value the ball better, make some shots.  Torrence, not sure what he brings yet.  Both players do not have jump shots or quick shots, more like set shots, and that is a problem against the zone.
