Koby should not be starting.

Jamal should not be starting.

That is unnatural carnal knowledgeed up.

Cade Cunningham doesn’t look
Like a World beater. Our offense looked just terrible.

Typically I am very optimistic. But this was disappointing.

1:30 left in the game down 10 and we take it down to 5 on the shot clock!?

 WHAT THE unnatural carnal knowledge!
who the hell do you suggest statrt? jose? Sy? DJ? they all shat the bed today sadly

Best part about this game is that it will be over.
Miraculously it will be a short season, glad we wont have to suffer through 20 games. I love MUBB but year after year of mediocrity gets so old. Here's hoping something worthwhile happens next couple games. Beating WI would help.

he’s the only guy doing things on offense.

Because the ball never comes out of his hands.

Koby keeps missing 3s from the same spot.

At least he’s shooting

It’s kind of crazy how not a single player had a good game today. Like everyone was bad

OK.  I'll be the first to throw out the legitimate excuses.  Over 50% of MUs scoring is gone.  A bunch of young guys playing.  14 days of no practice due to Covid.

But, lots of talent out there, and Wojo need to fix it this year (well, next year due to covid).

That would play if it wasn’t the same thing as when those factors aren’t at play. Other coaches out-adjust Wojo so completely, game in and game out. 20 points in the first 8 min, 24 in the next 20. No movement, no tweaks, just stagnant.

This is a top 25 roster with tons of talent, just no guidance from the top

Not like DJ, or Sy we’re doing anything to initiate the offense.

The cherry on top would’ve been a completely vapid huddle speech where Wojo essentially encourages the guys to try harder. Shame we missed out on that honestly.

Wojo has to go...we've seen this sh1t too many times.  I don't mind missed shots, but he has 3/4 of the game to figure out the zone and it got worse as the game went on.  This isn't me reacting to one bad game in a new season...rather multiple examples of an inability to coach to the basics.  That zone was sh1t...you won't see them use it to that level of success ever again this year.

Hi Johnny,

Thanks for asking. Sy is already starting.

Second I do think DJ should be starting.

I also now feel JL should be starting.

But if you’d like to stick with jamal who can’t dribble more than 3 feet and Koby that’s fine.

Oh also I think Greg could start. He at least had energy.

But I guess you’re right.

You can hear some of these questions in Lavin’s commentary. I think he was incredulous that MU can’t solve a zone. “It’s not like Wojo has never seen a zone.”

Wojo is a terrible coach. He’s a GREAT recruiter but I actually think he’s just kind of dumb.

If he’s benching Garcia this early in the season, it doesn’t bode well for the rest of the year.

This was a disastrous performance.

After two blowouts, the Garcia, Carton and Theo to NBA just slowed down.

The Dexter Decision really hurt.  MU up ten and Dexter lead to 7 opponents points in like two minutes.

Garcia and Lewis scoreless in second half, but Lewis had 13 boards and two blocks.
Garcia sat for a long, long, time after he did something wrong in first few minutes of second.  Maybe too long.

Jamal played with heart, 13 points and 13 rebounds.  Everyone else not so good.

I still don’t understand how over the years, Wojos teams have gone thru scoring droughts of immense proportions.  Tonight was in a class by itself, but has always been a point of contention.

good assessment of Wojo...kind of dumb. I’d agree. I mean, he proves it each game.

I think I heard the shot clock buzzer more times tonight than in a typical 6-8 game stretch. That was hard to watch everyone just standing around.

Very simple... we’ve got no 3 point shooting. The future formula to beat us has been revealed; just play zone and rebound the bricks. Poor Garcia.

Wojo doesn't have an alpha on the team that can break down defenses which puts pressure on a bunch of shooters to overcompensate and make plays.  That's the main issue with this team and will plague them most of the season.  They'll get some favorable matchups here and there along with a few great nights of shooting but any athletic team will put pressure on them.   MU doesn't have a counter for that.  This team is 2 dimensional on offense - at best.  One person like Dominic James would make all the difference for this team and make them a tough matchup by being able to breakdown the opposing defense.   MU will get blown out by teams with stifling, quick guards that create turnovers.  MU lacks a legit ball handler.  Honesty I was surprised Ok. St. didn't pressure sooner.  The game was closer than it should have been.

Otherwise, I'm surprised by how well the defense plays.

No way to beat the zone.  Still.

We played good defense.  So did OS.  Right on no legit ball handler, no go-to guy.   Hopefully we get better.

The reality is that this team is not a good shooting team, including FT%.  Defensively, they're solid.

The only way this team finishes over .500 is to play error-free (limited turnovers) basketball. Not particularly optimistic based on the history of Wojo's teams.

At least with Markus Howard we had a player that brought MU some pub and was fun to watch. Now? Back to low IQ Wojo and the normalcy of mediocrity and insignificance.
