Studs (Dawson, Markus, Henry, Joey) commit because Wojo makes an unconditional promise to give them the fluorescent green light and have the ball in their hands on every single possession. The problem is that's the extent  of Wojo's basketball coaching acumen. Same story, new characters.

I don't see Dawson with an auto green-light (did you see him benched today?).  But it'd be nice if guys could get their own shot today.

Did they just rave about Buzz Petersen as a great coaching mentor for Boynton? He of 1 career NCAA appearance, a terrible stretch at Tennessee, and a career based largely on being MJ's old roommate and buddy?

Marquette just hasn't been able to recruit a true, tough pg since junior cadougan. Carton just looks no good against real competition, I was worried with the bad turnovers against cupcakes.....

Carton doesnt want to shoot. He has these decent looks when guys go under the screen but never fires. Didnt he shoot like 40% last year

I'm not saying it comes to fruition every second of every game.  But that's the deal and that's how it plays out in the long run with Wojo's teams... and it's a team-wide negative despite having truly great college basketball talents.

Dawson has had about as much of an auto green light as you can have in your first three games as a college freshman. You are not required to agree with that nor am I to agree with you.

OK.  I'll be the first to throw out the legitimate excuses.  Over 50% of MUs scoring is gone.  A bunch of young guys playing.  14 days of no practice due to Covid.

But, lots of talent out there, and Wojo need to fix it this year (well, next year due to covid).

Agreed. I muted it 10 minutes ago. Horrible. Other arenas are doing it well. This just gave me a headache.
