Dawson
Theo

Thought Koby had a solid game. Carton scoring in the second half was nice to see. Hopefully a lunching pad for him going into Tuesday.

Garcia.

But the stat lines are going to show better balance than it seemed during the game.

Dawson Garcia, best player on the court. Best start to a Marquette freshman career since Henry Ellenson.

Dawson knows buckets.

That said, Lewis for frosh of the game (we're treating this like pro cycling where Justin can wear the best young cyclist jersey if Dawson is race leader)
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

No clear stand out tonight.  Carton with 13/7/4 should in the discussion.

Dawson, although it was nice to see Koby find his stroke from range even if it was a limited sample size, and Theo was only 1 pt and 1 board from another double double.  Good team effort.

Garcia's scoring ability + Theo's improved game = a very  nice starting front line.  And...the guy who is really fun to watch so far is Lewis.  Scores from multiple levels / defends / rebounds.

Yup. I said after the last game that he could be a good 3 & D guy. Gladly, no need to ever play him at PG.

I'm going Carton. 13 points, 7 boards, 4 assists, 1 steal, 1 block and 60 eFG%. The offense runs better when he's in the game.

I think some aren't recognizing everything Carton did because he scored 4 points during the extended technical difficulties.

Dawson and Theo are both worth nominees as well. Koby and Lewis both had solid performances

I'm going with Dawson for helping us establish a double-digit lead we never lost, putting up a good line, and just being solid throughout.

But Theo is very close IMHO, and he was our dominant presence this week.

Carton did his best work after the game was decided and was a little fumbly earlier. Very, very high on what he's gonna bring to the table, but he's not quite there yet.

Koby was solid, and Lewis again showed a nice all-around game.

Garcia. He did a lot of his work before the game was in hand.

It was great to see Carton settle down and find a rhythm in the 2nd half.

Theo was great again.
