Historically, MU does not run back doors or alley oops. We saw MH miss on these attempts on several occasions, etc.
We saw bounce passes to a 7’ OTule who was running the floor, etc.

Last night, we saw Koby bounce pass to a cutting Dawson.
We also saw Justin chest pass to a cutting Dawson.
We have Jamal who can absolutely jump out of the building. We have DJ who has played with high flyers in the past.
I think it is time to get Jamal an alley oop attempt each game.
Passes to Dawson should not be at his knees, but at 9’.
Easy points on simple plays that we should be executing much better.

The one play I miss but would be great with Garcia is the Jae Crowder trailing three.

This has to come...especially if Theo is on the bench.  If the other teams bigs run to the paint to recover on defense it appears Garcia and Lewis can knock that shot down.  Opens the lane for our guards as well.  Garcia has looked like the best player on the court for two games in a row.

Hey, Theo can hit that shot.

We are playing undersized cupcakes of course, but these first two games seem to highlight that the team will try the ally oops.

Jamal had 1 successful in game 1 and a miss on a off pass by Carton.

In yesterdays game in the 1st half there was a moment where Carton pointed up(I think to Symir) and clearly wanted an oop but we didn't see him.

And then you note the handful of cuts weve had. Many between Justin and Dawson.

I think as the season goes on and we get more time to work on offense we will keep using our athleticism to try and get points.

I loved that clothing line in high school and at MU. Used to get it for free when Reebok bought them and a hoops org I worked for was sponsored by Reebok.

One noticeable improvement so far this young season has been movement without the ball. Not just Markus trying to get free for a 3, but several players, cutting to the hoop, setting screens off the ball, looking for alley-oop passes, etc. You mentioned a couple situations above. It's been nice to see, and I look for more as they get used to each other.
