Shelter in place to be extended to May 15.  Some easing.  Landscaping, construction, other departments in big box stores.  Masks when in an enclosed public building.  Golf walking only.   Etc.

Statewide, the curve seems to be flattening.   Locally, the cases are spiking.  Meat packing plants, homeless populations, and yes, some of the protestors.   A flophouse motel up the street with no medical oversight has seen a large increase in the last week.   And there is still no test for antibodies a available for first responders in my area, but if I show symptoms I can schedule a test 72 hours out.

Open it up!

So apparently the "LIBERATE" protestors in Michigan are now inside the state capitol, and some of them are armed and walking around the gallery of the state senate while it is in session.

All so very normal.

I wonder if any of these gents worked for Blackwater under Sec DeVos' brother?

Some state senators donned bulletproof vests.

From all of the pictures I've, seen, it look like an awful lot of white guys doin' the protesting. There is some good news here, though. Most do not appear to be wearing masks. Hopefully, they will carry the virus back to their next white militia meeting.

They just want to buy seeds and fish in a motorized boat, man.

Just looked at some pictures.   That is a bad look.

Gun weilding lunatics with their faces covered all around the capital. What is even the point of the guns? In what scenario are these people forming battle lines and shooting? Who tf are they shooting at? Police? National guard? Is it just some scare tactic for the governer? In what possible scenario are these people shooting? Seems like a "hey were bad ass look at our guns" bullshit. Everyone there agrees with them. Who are you potentially shooting?

The guns are meant to intimidate... to terrorize.  They're a spectacle so that foolish young people can look at these guys and think how, 'badass' they look.  They're a recruitment tool.

Realistically, these folks are cowards.  They aren't the good guys with guns.  They breed folks like Tim McVeigh, and should be ridiculed mercilessly.

Wonder whether a bunch of Black Lives Matter protesters storming a state capitol building armed with AR-15s would have been met with such restraint.
(It's a rhetorical question, obviously)

Much like I have asked for regarding the federal response, I will ask for this now.     Somebody make a case that carrying AR-15's into a state capital to argue your freedoms are being restricted makes sense.

Well, it gets coverage.  Makes you look like a jagoff, but it definitely gets you coverage.

.

Spot on. An implied threat of violence. They were terrorists, plain and simple, and should have been treated as such.

File this under "is anyone surprised".

Trump today called the armed terrorists "very good people" and stated that Gov. Whitmer should meet with them give in to some of their demands.

Funny that he doesn't have this attitude when he's throwing out protestors from his rallies.

Whitmer calls yesterday 'political theater'.   Says she will continue to engage with epidemiologists, scientists, business and labor leaders to look for ways to open the state as safely as possible.    Invites constructive ideas and input.

Republican Senate Majority leader called those using intimidation and threats of violence 'a bunch of jackasses' who hurt the cause of those who might want to make a reasoned argument.      Good for him.

ROFL.   The left tends to be a circular firing squad.
