I'm going to guess you don't understand how this works  ;D

Thanks Brew.  I need to read a little closer apparently

Gardner just missed Brew. One of the first guys I crossed off the list when doing a quick double check. Threw away the list at work earlier this morning. Last guy might have come down to Pieper and Gardner.

Wouldn't argue one bit if someone in Jack Berry Joker's Wild style went off the board for a 1 dollar pick.

Also debated making Wade 6 dollars just so someone would try and come up with a team without Wade.

Vander is a bargain!

Would you switch Blue with any of the 15 above him Hutch?

Yep, actually with all due respect to my all time MU favorite, I'd give Vander a $4 value and Hutchins $2

Your list and players is very good though I think.

Probably be heavy disagreement, but I think Luke Fischer belongs at $1 or $2. Yes, I know he was foul prone, but he could play.

Traci Carter
Duane Wilson
Sandy Cohen
Sam Hauser

Small ball baby

Due to Wojo being the coach, your team has just now transferred.

Thanks for playing!!!

P.S.

Robert Jackson being only 2 dollars is the biggest steal on the board.  Way undervalued here.  Should be 4 dollars.

Same question MD - if you moved Jackson up to 4, who would you move down to 3 and who would you move down to 2?

I appreciate your contrarian and non group think approach, MDDG, but Lovette and Merritt??  Come on.

Tony Smith is 5 years past the cut off.

Lovette's midrange game was pure.  If Ellenson had that, he'd be on a whole different level.   ;D ;D ;D

He was a nice player, but not in top 25 of last 25 years of the program.  I'd put Faisal Abraham ahead of Lovette.  Guy was a beast defensively and on the boards.

Are we going with what these players were in college? If so, I think people are overrating Buycks by a pretty good amount. Frankly he's not close to a top 15 player at MU over the past 25 years.

I'd agree, but a list isn't good unless there's a tad bit of controversy.

Here's a question:  Who'd you rather have...... Ellenson freshman year or Lovette Senior year?

Wades - I tried to go with more what they did in college, and more specifically what they did at MU. Probably why I had Jackson a little lower than some others thought. And Buycks was one of the last guys I had in. But kind of hard to keep a guy who had a functional career as a NBA backup for a few years off the list entirely.

Merritt was one of the last few guys I crossed off FWIW. So I had him between 26 and 30. Wouldn't disagree with him being one of the last 5.

As a guy who lives about a half-hours drive from Blair, I'd love to have Lovette on the list. But I'd think he'd be in the 31-35 range.

Farthest I could've gone with the list personally is back to 78-79. 1st MU game I saw in person and remember is December of 78 Classic after just turning 7.

I'd take Henry over Lovette any of Lovette's seasons.

His senior season was ruined by mental health issues sadly as I recall.

Former Louisville player Marques Maybin has a talk show and started one of those Facebook things where you have 15 dollars and get to pick a starting 5. Thought that might be fun to do for MU. Because Maybin's Louisville list looks like it went back about 25 years, that's what I decided to go with for MU. Without a ton of thought on who should cost how much, and I almost certainly missed someone that should be included, here's what I came up with.

5 - Wade, Crowder, Diener, McNeal, Howard
4 - Butler, Novak, Hayward, Matthews, Hutchins
3 - James, Wardle, DJO, Ellenson, Hauser
2 - Jackson, Crawford, Rowsey, Blue, Eford,
1 - Pieper, Buycks, J Wilson, McCaskill, Henry.

What'd be your starting lineup?
Gimme Wade, Jimmy, DJO, Jackson (criminally underrated as a 2) and Cordell Henry.

If we're taking them at their "MU prime", loan me $1 and I'd take.

Jackson (C)
Butler (PF)
Wade (SF))
Rowsey (SG)
James (PG)

Here's another game - what is the inclusive list of players you could have replaced Todd Townsend with that would have given us a Natty in 2003. I'd say a mortal lock with any of:

Crowder
Howard
Hayward
Butler
Matthews
Hauser
Rowsey

How about replacing him with Blankson?
