I predicted all colleges across the country would be closed by friday. That looks likely.

The nba has shut down. I'm guessing the ncaa tournament will be delayed until April.

I also am unsure if marquette plays tomorrow.

I hope like hell I am wrong.  But I am pretty confident ncaa basketball season will be suspended after tonight, and then likely cancelled within a week or two.

Can you even do that?  These are unpaid kids.  Many are seniors.  Kids want to transfer.  Seniors want to move on.  I think you could maybe suspend a week or two, but after that, how realistic is it?  These teams aren't going to stick together.

I think the obvious answer is no.  Maybe the NCAA comes out and says they're suspending the tournament, but if things don't drastically improve within a week or two, not sure how long they can keep it hanging out there without resolution.  Most likely things aren't going to be peachy keen in 15 days.

Agree it's not getting better in a week or two.  Mostly because we aren't aggressively testing.  If we start doing that it's bound to be worse for a while.

If I were them I would wait a month and, if better, downsize the tourney to 32 or 16.

Since everyone thinks I'm being over the top with this...Now THIS I 100% agree with. Why?? because someone(a player) tested positive for it. This makes all the sense . the world to do under those circumstances. That's why I'm a little perplexed by the decision to possibly cancel the tournament. If a player or Coach or someone associated with it has or does test positive, then 100% agree with the decision. But right now we are "well but what if". NO ONE that has already tested positive for Corona would be in any of the arenas, I can guarantee you that. It's being cautious, but it's also a lot of running scared right now, NO ONE can deny that.

Bucks haven't played the Jazz since Nov 25, but Rudy Gobert played in the All-Star Game with Giannis Antetokounmpo & Khris Middleton less than a month ago. Not to mention the ripple effect of potential transmission by common opponents, etc. Hence why the NBA suspended operations.
