Final average attendance number- 15,145. Should be good enough for top 15 again nationally.

A lot of programs would love to have fans that suck as much as Marquette's.

And how.

And how.

For an attendance/enrollment ratio of 1.34. I think only Creighton better at 1.85. I'm pretty sure those are the only two programs with a ratio over one - and Syracuse is probably the only other one close at 0.98.

We are the only ones with the NBA to compete with as well. Makes that a very impressive number in my opinion.

Anyone got the names of the two knuckleheads tossed out on Saturday?

Serious question....does the MPD issue a citation if they kick you out of the FF?

Personal attacks and outright hatred of your fellow women/man is the norm. Is this the role model we wish to project?   Reflection on our own behavior versus others may be something to consider. Is this behavior what we wish to teach our children?

Kind of like being able to use a space bar?

Symir Torrence will be a very solid player. We'll see what Dexter Akinno has to offer after taking the Sacar development year. If Greg fully heals and stays health we'll have a great guard there.

I wouldn't expect anything but a role player from Akino. As for GE, you are the 3rd or 4th Scooper to assert that good health is all that stands between him and greatness. I don't see it - at all. What has he done anywhere to bring you to that conclusion?

Ask Tower, I'm sure he's beaten that's dumb a few times.  GE is THE difference maker

The post Lenny quoted literally said, "We'll have a great guard there."

I thought the crowd was great throughout -- unlike the team, which didn't show up for the first 30 minutes of the game. Marquette falling behind by 23 points at home had absolutely nothing to do with the support of the 17,000 fans who were at the game.

His KenPom numbers and what he looks like on the floor:
He's averaging an ORtg of 106.5 and an eFG% of 53%, 3rd best assist rate on the team while being our second best rebounding guard and is our second best shooter(both twos and threes)

He's long and can defend 3 positions, all while being on a bum wheel.

Exactly.

And, anyone who stayed for the Seniors' speeches (or listened on the radio) heard that Markus doesn't think the fans suck.  In fact, he loves the fans and is super appreciative.

His advanced numbers both his freshman and redshirt sophomore seasons are the kind that suggest he could take a big leap if given more opportunity. I thought he was our best defender his freshman season. Less so now, but it could be the ankle. To be clear, I'm not suggesting he's the next coming of Vander Blue or anything like that but I could see him becoming a very capable third or fourth starter in the Big East.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think an ORtg of 106.5 = "great", especially with such low usage. Same for the other facts and opinions you cite. I see no greatness in them.

Next year's returnees did not inspire. My personal opinion is that Greg, Jamall, Brendan, Coby and Theo are at or near their ceiling. What do you expect to see from that group improvement wise that hasn't been demonstrated in the two or three seasons they've played? Replacing 40 points from Marcus and Sacar will be challenging. I do believe Symir has upside.

Hard to see the four new players (three recruits + Dexter) being instant studs in the Big East. We'll spend much of the season saying that they are freshman. Next year's team needs perhaps two more high level contributors who aren't currently enrolled. Perhaps Mane and a grad?

We'll need consistency from these guys.  Think how good we could be if we get Brendan's best game every game.  Same with these other guys.  We've seen flashes and even full games of how good these guys can play, but we need to see that night in and night out.  Then we've got something.

MUs down turn has coincided with Baileys disappearance.  I would also hate to know what him and sacar and kobys combined shooting percentage is during tge same period.  That trio had made 2 baskets before the last 4 minutes of the SHU game and it wasnt fir the lack of taking wide open shots!!

Greg is at 80% at best right now, still limping and had to rest the ankle for 3-4? Games as we all recall.

GE will be at best a 3rd or 4th option. Seems like a great kid, but not sure a tremendous upside moving forward. We need the new guys to be real deals next year or might be a long season.

I agree Goose. As for Greg - he's a good role player. Good defender. Can hit an open three. But there is very little he can bring off the bounce...largely because he's just SO thin and can't play through any kind of contact.

I do think Koby could take a nice step forward next year. He's just a mess right now. Bailey and Cain are wildcards. Jamal could take a step simply through adding more strength going from a 20 year old to 21 year old. But we are going to need major offensive contribution from Dawson and other freshman.

I think the Theo Greg Jamal Ike class was supposed to be role player followed by the go to guys Joey and Brendan (once Sam and Markus has graduated). My theory was staggering the classes like this was wojos plan to stop the consistent transfers. If so it was a good idea till it didn't work.
