Grad Transfer Big

There's been a lot of talk that we could use a grad transfer big next year, similar to Jayce's role this year.  I agree, but I think this is easier said than done, and we got pretty lucky with Jayce this year.  I was curious who might be available, so I went through the NCAA leaders in rebounds and blocks to see who would fit the profile of a potential grad transfer (3 years played in 4 years, due to transfer or injury).  I have no idea if any of these players are considering grad transferring, but these are the one's I found that fit the profile.

Kevin Marfo 6'8" – Quinnipiac, 13.6 rpg
James Butler 6'8" – Drexel, 12 rpg
Elyjah Goss 6'7" – IUPUI, 11.5rpg (from Bolingbrook, IL)
Loudon Love 6'8" – Wright State, 10.1 rpg (from Geneva, IL)
Emmanuel Nzekwesi 6'8" – Oral Roberts, 9.9 rpg
Tyrn Flowers 6'9" – Long Island, 9.5 rpg
Jordan Bruner 6'9" – Yale, 9.5 rpg (injured '17-'18, Ivy League rule)
Romello White 6'8" – ASU, 9.0 rpg
Austin Wiley 6'11" – Auburn, 8.9 rpg (projected NBA 2nd round)

Definitely agree.  Could frankly use another guard as well if Mane isn't coming. 

Dream would be Mane, grad transfer big and then best traditional transfer Wojo can fine.

It was Jucos under Buzz, just another way to quickly improve your roster.  It's unfortunate Ike got injured, but now we need to fill that spot.

Jimmy Whitt, currently at Arkansas.  Started there, transferred to SMU and now back to Arkansas.

Juan Anderson and Jake Thomas announced they were leaving and came back. I think Thomas was in talks with UWM but I don't think it was anything official.

Akoy Agau went Louisville to SMU to Georgetown to Louisville. I think Cincy had one recently

he's already narrowed down to his finalists and MU isn't one of them. Syracuse, Maryland, Ohio State, USC.

Very few, if any, bigs that are grad transfers are going to be difference makers. Otherwise, they'd be going pro.

I know it won't happen, but wouldn't that be something if Sam came back.  Markus would be gone, so if his main beef was not being the center point of the offense in 19-20, he certainly would be in 20-21.  I can't imagine sitting on the bench watching UVA's extremely painful to watch offense has been a joy for a guy that likes watching the ball go through the hoop.
