It is my hope Akanno follows a similar trajectory of hard work and improvement.

If Marquette doesn't land Mane I don't think he will have the luxury of developing at Sacars pace. Sadly I don't think the team can count on Greg staying healthy, so that would leave Koby, Symir, and Dexter. Kid needs to grow up fast.

THE ANSWER

Chili: This was the Meat Eater text which spoiled the Georgetown result I was taping...

Re Sacar: His progress since his freshman year is remarkable. The Red Shirt year was a superlative investment of time towards his improvement.

I remember Jay Bee predicting great things for him. At the time I was skeptical.

Imagine where we would be without him this season and especially after the Hausers left and with Koby's offensive struggles. It makes me shudder to think about our competitiveness without Sacar as our second option.

I really hope he hits 1,000 because we need that productivity in order to make The Dance.

Love Sacar.

I hope he scores 1,000. I only wish Wojo had similar hopes.

And what makes you think he doesn't? Sacar leads the team in MPG and is second in FGA.

For some people every thread is just an opportunity to take a shot at Wojo.

And he is in Grad School with a 3.5+ GPA. A true scholar athlete.

We seldom agree, or come close to agreement, but I have become a real Sacar fan. Now, I wish he played a big role player spot on a really good team, he has earned his stripes. I really hope that he has a post ball life filled with a great deal of success.

Sacar has been just tremendous. Where would Marquette be without him this season?

Yup. He could have a goose egg(hopefully not) Saturday, and still be at the pace.

My sister (MU grad) works with Anim's dad so I've always been hoping for the best for Sacar.   So thrilled he has been crushing it this month.

On the Senior Night issue .. I hope this year MU reverts back to having the ceremony *after* the game.   It's important to give these guys a moment to speak to the MU family, on court, tell the audience what it means to be a Marquette Warrior, and hear them one last time.

The recent pre-game ceremony is too quick, and .. just lame.

Yeah, it sucks when MU loses and people leave .. but Markus and Sacar are special guys.  Time to revert back the ceremony to post-game to let them have some extra time in the spotlight on Al McGuire court.

Totally agree with this, especially this year, with Markus and Sacar to honor. I had a brief e-mail exchange with Scott Kuykendall, who told me that it will happen ā€œ15 minutes on the countdown clock.ā€

And, I understand the desire to move it to before the game, after too many fans are walking out during the senior day moments.

It is what it is, and Iā€™m excited that I will be there this year.

One part of JaJuan's game I would love to see Sacar develop is the last second pass to a big on one of those "banana curls" (I think Raft coined it that way). It was lethal to Luke over and over.
Please do not pass the ball to our bigs.
