Finished The Outsider. Both my wife and I agree that we wish we had stopped watching after the 3rd or 4th episode. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't great, and we only have so much time to watch TV every night.

Homeland leaves us shaking our heads at some of the lack of logic, but it's still edge-of-seat stuff most of the time.

Still enjoying the heck out of Curb.

Ozark returns a week from today -- looking forward to that!

What did you think?  I thought it was profoundly depressing.  Interesting cinematography and engaging, but liked it a lot less than I expected.  Also, hilarious that such preposterous, non-legal parlays were a key plot line.

Saw it with my dad, a big movie guy, said he would have walked out of the theater, or switched it off on a plane which is where he sees tons of movies, if he was watching alone.

I loved it. Moves so fast, keeps you on the edge of your seat.

There are like three Nazi-related shows on TV right now, and that's not even including High Castle.

Plus, Curb had a hilarious bit about the only way to calm down a snarling German shepherd named Adolph was to do the salute and yell Heil Hitler!

I re-watched Contagion last night.

Soderberg really did do his homework in making that movie.

We started, The Plot Against America, on Monday.  I feel like this show is going to be a slow burn.  I like it so far, but it may not take off with a lot of people due to the pacing.  For the record, I loved Boardwalk Empire, but it also suffered from pacing for a lot of people.

Thanks, HA. After you've watched a few episodes, let me know how you like it.

An episode and a half and I had enough. It was like watching a comic book. Way over the top.

Tough to watch right now, but I think 28 Days Later - especially the first hour+ - is an all time great.

Amazon just started streaming movies that were suppose to be in theaters: The Invisible Man and The Hunt. There was another; just can't remember the title. They're asking 20 bucks to rent; some to purchase.

Impressive.

If this pandemic goes on for another couple months, you might have seen every episode of every show ever made!

Just finished the extremely binge-able Feel Good series on Netflix -- only 6 episodes, each about 25 minutes long.

It's about a lesbian standup comedian (and recovering drug addict) from Canada who lives in England and falls for a straight British girl. The comedian is played perfectly by real-life Canadian comic Mae Martin, who also created and wrote the series. The other lead, Charlotte Ritchie, is outstanding, too.

In addition to being quite funny, it's actually a very sweet story about love, longing, dependence and peer pressure. And I was surprised at how little gratuitous sex there was (considering the subject matter).

Lisa Kudrow plays the comedian's mother and is very good.

I will probably re-watch that soon.

Right now I am watching Justified on Hulu. Never watched it when it was out, but would highly recommend.

Thats exactly where I just stopped.

You might enjoy "Special" on Netflix.  It's a 9-episode season and only 15 minutes per episode.  Totally bingeable in one evening.

It's a story about a gay young man with mild CP who wants to live more independently from his mom.  He tells everyone that he walks the way he does because he was in a car accident.  It's based on the lead actor's actual experiences.
Have some patience, FFS.

That's next in the queue. Just finished episode three of "The Stranger." Also watching "The Plot Against America" on HBO.
