Under Wojo, MU is 0-5 in the first B1G games (Gavitt or not) of the season.  Wojo is also 1-4 in BE lidlifters. Time to change this.

Crapshoots, ai'na?

MU82

Just got an email from MU ticket office with advertisement for $10 tickets for this game.

The $10 tickets vs. Big Ten foe Purdue will go on sale Sunday, November 10 at 10:00 a.m. for ONLY 10 hours (10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.), while supplies last!

I guess demand for a November weeknight game isn't super-high, even for a ranked opponent. Nice to see they are willing to do what it takes to fill the joint. I wish I could go!

This will be a good test for Theo. You've got to think Painter will go at Theo early to see if they can get him to pick up a few quick fouls to get him out of the game. It's hard for me to remember much about Haarms' game with all the hair flipping burned in my brain, but from what I do recall, I don't think he's got a ton of offensive ability. He's huge, so that's always going to be an advantage, but Theo's strength and athleticism should help to offset that. If Theo can manage to stay out of foul trouble, this could be a fun matchup to watch.

Haarms is really skilled in high PnRs. Didn't get a chance to see Proctor the other night, but Haarms is dangerous with the right partner. Not really a back to the basket guy like Haas was.

Game will likely be decided by the zebras and what kind of game they will call.  Early in the season they tend to call tight games and this will likely hurt our chances of a win.

Really?  I would think the tighter they call it the better chance we'll have. Theo may foul out, but Markus could get 15-20 fts, and we all know that TEAM FREE THROW RATE matta.

Texas at Purdue on FS1 today

GoldenDieners32

Watching them play right now, Wheeler will be the difference maker in the game

Kenpom says we win by 1 at home. He also has us ranked at 15 and Prudue at 7. I have tremendous respect for his predictions but  I don't see this going our way. I will love to be wrong but I see us loosing by double digits.

I know it's early, but Purdue is sloppy. A number of late, unforced turnovers and another Haarms offensive foul have allowed Texas to reclaim the lead after falling down by 5.

GoldenDieners32

Texas is using the pick and roll very well

MuMark

Purdue destroying them on the boards........we are going to need to limit turnovers and shoot it well because I fear they are going to get a high percentage of their misses back on offensive rebounds.

Johnny B

Purdue takes the L. Hopefully we beat these clowns at fiserv

MuMark

Refs not kind to Boilers at the end. Great win for Texas.......2 good teams battled until the end.

Both these teams look to be Top 20.

0-9 is embarrassing. Got to exorcise the Rick Mount ghost and win one of these.

Sadly, I agree as Markus is the only guy that can score on our team as the other 4 just stand around passing the ball side to side.

How lowly do you think of this team? They just lost to texas. They dont seem crazy good. Were gonna lose at home by double digits? I mean maybe but damn I think were better than getting blown out at home to purdue

Watched a majority of the game. Purdue swarms to the ball as soon as it gets in the paint. I think we should see Markus more off ball and have Kobe drive and kick early and often.

They even were swarming early on drives. Lots of easy baskets at the rim when they would initiate a drive to draw a defender out of the paint and thread a pass to attackers in the post. Our bigs could really thrive doing that if our guards can get the ball in there.

Agree but is it in our playbook? So far we are seeing a game plan similar to last year.

Koby brought up the ball with Markus playing off quite a bit last week. Regardless it was one game.
