No surprise, but this schedule is way lighter than the last few years.  Green Bay is usually good, but I don't see many other tests there.

Mississippi State is a monster. Four straight trips to the Sweet 16, three straight Elite 8s, reached the national title game 2 of the last 3 years. It's a return game from last year's close loss in Starkville. Something tells me they are going to boat race Duffy's team.

The rest is solid but not spectacular. Lots of teams that were in the 100-200 range of RPI last year, though Saint Mary's was top-50 last year. This will be an interesting team to watch. Lots of youth, but still a decent amount of Kieger's recruits coming back so there's at least a core of decent players. And I know RPI is a crap metric, but neither kenpom nor Torvik have women's rankings I've seen.

This is the type of schedule I expected with the rebuild they face now.  I don't see them contending for an NCAA bid but maybe they can go to the WNIT with this schedule.  That could be good experience for a young team.

I am disappointed they aren't playing Wisconsin for the second season in a row - I like that rivalry.

Yes, having a new power in Mississippi State is a real treat for wbb fans at the Al. So, close to a national title in 2017 & 2018.

Mississippi State is a very strong team as was mentioned by others here.  South Dakota State is a very good mid-major program and made the Sweet 16 last season.  But yes it's not a super tough schedule overall.
