Evan Flood and the Hausers. Not going to UW?
« on: May 25, 2019, 01:57:42 PM »
Both Dodd's board (GE 1974) and the Kohl Center Badger Basketball board are talking about rumors that the Hausers will not be going to UW.

Note that I said "rumors". Apparently the report is from Evan Flood but I have not found it. May be absolutely nothing to it, but we can hope.

The best thing all along would to have Sam stay and Joey go if he was not happy.

Potrykus did Gard no favors by putting out two articles claiming UW was in the driver's seat.

That said, it was a very real possibility up until the last minute. I thought for sure Sam was UW bound.

I gotta say, I'd pull my hair out as a college coach. Having your job be so dependent on the whims of HS and college kids would be infuriating.

+1000....if they are going to split up, which it sounds like they are, the absolute most logical thing is for Sam to comeback to MU, why sit ou a year, especially now if you aren't going to play with Joey anyway??

It seems the Badger boards probably have bigger concerns with the news I just saw in a Twitter post from Gary Parrish regarding UW asst. coach Howard Moore.  :'(

The rumor from Evan Flood was that someone on the 247 board said something along the lines of Mrs. Hauser hates Wisconsin and has convinced them to go elsewhere and Evan confirmed it. As expected, the Badger fans are already trashing the boys and the family (not that there wasn't some of that here)

This smells real to me. Would assume it means Joey to MSU and Sam to UVA. Can hold out hope that one or both of them have decided to return but wouldn't hold my breath.

I’m holding out hope they come back lol. I think Wojo should at least reach out to Sam and make a pitch that it’s best for him to come back. Joey will be a good to great college player in time but may be better off finding a better fit.

This has been the most all over transfer. At various points, all three schools have been perceived as "locks" while the announcement date has changed like 5 times now.

The one thing I'll say at this point is it looks like Steph Hauser is the true legend.

Whatever is said on any Badger board probably pales in comparison to what has been said here about the boys and their family over the past month.

I find it interesting that Izzo was in Milw and sitting courtside for the Bucks playoff game, last week Fri..After the Hauser boys "silent verbal" call to Gard on Wed..Hmmmmm .... BTW, also interesting that  I saw Gard at Bucks game on Thurs and was not Courtside, but sitting in the upper section of Sect 119.... 8-)

Why even stoop to the level of saying Sam should stay?

Stephanie Hauser, you are an absolutely wonderful Mom! Absolutely wonderful. Now, cement your legacy as an all time great Mom and tell Sam to get his ass back to MU.  :)

An opportunity to finish his career with future legend, Wojo.

Why is this stooping to a level? I mean I guess you shouldn't tell college students what to do with their lives, but I think saying that Sam should stay at MU is at an equal level to saying that they should go anywhere else.

Good news if true. But I’m not gonna believe it until they sign elsewhere.

UW is the destination until confirmed.

Having said that, Wojo should be ok the horn to Sam today. Finish as a 1,500 point scorer. Go down as an MU legend.
