Duane says he got put on the roster late and won't be eligible till next weekend. So hopefully we can make it through to the next weekend.

I see JJJ is in town so who knows....:)

In watching some of the games...with the quality of the basketball and the parochial interest in some of the teams (the crowd in Wichita last night was evidence), I have wondered if there would be a path to make this into an actual league that could generate enough interest to make it financially viable.   The MU team could play home games at the AL as an example.    I know the market is flooded with D league, multiple foreign leagues and levels, etc.....but something resonates differently with seeing popular alumni playing together under the quasi-banner of their former schools or under an umbrella of local geographic interest.   It would have to be in the right markets and would have to put enough financial interest in it to retain players on U.S. soil and it would probably still fail, but, just sharing a thought that crossed my mind.   Maybe the true allure is the all-in nature of it going on for a few weeks for a million dollar prize....perhaps you could retain that for the league and playoff winner.    Just a thought.    There is just enough uniqueness coming through in these games that I couldn't help but think maybe there is something to build upon that offers something fresh in the market.

the announcers mentioned that each of the 8 regional winners will get 25% of the paid attendance for that region.   The number they threw out for the Wichita region is about $80,000 to the winning team.

A little something if they fall short of the $2 million overall winners share.

Wichita was by far the most lucrative of the 8 regions.

Thanks.  I'm stuck having to watch Boeheim's Army playing somebody, and announcers eem reluctant to mention other games.

Favorite play:  The Rowsey fake behind the back to his own layup.

And total props to Derrick.  Dude did the dirty work all game long.
