1. Markus - I’m sorry, but we can’t be blasé about 31 points.

2. Joey - had ice in his veins on those 3s.

3. The team - they held it to 9 turnovers!
I mean, OK, maybe he's secretly a serial killer who's pulled the wool over our eyes with his good deeds and smooth jumper - Pakuni (on Markus Howard)

And the MU kid in the student section

If he can't win it, my vote's for the other kid. Joey hit big shot after big shot, kept us in it in the first, made his free throws at the end, and only turned it over once.

Markus. He makes it look so routine we've become inured to his greatness. Seriously - has a 31 point game ever not gotten SOTG on scoop?

That said the brothers Hauser were also superb and efficient.

But do we win that game without Matt? Ed's ankle had to have been bothering him - and with theo playing 6 minutes and there two bigs down low he has to be SOTG. That's why's it's STUD of the game rather than MVP or highest scorer or best stat line.

With Super Sub award to Heldt

Will vote Joey just because
- he hasn’t got one yet
- he along with 2 or 3 others could honestly get it today.

Joey. His efficiency was really important. 5 for 6 from 3. Hit all the shots we needed him to.

Markus was Markus.

I'm sure Joey will win it because he doesn't have one and he was legitimately good. But it should be Markus. Again.

I still vote for Joey because he kept MU in it early and hit FTs at the end, but did Markus really finish with 31?  I honestly would have guessed about 23.

I believe the only thing bothering Morrow today was Jones.  He was destroying Ed and thats why Heldt played.

Sam had 20 and 9, Joey with 21 and 5, and Markus with 31.  Flip a coin, but Joey hitting 5 of 6 from three, some NBA range.  Mods will make the call.

Yep. 10-22 and 1 of his misses was from almost halfcourt at the end of the half and he got fouled on 2 to 3 others. He was excellent and if that game is at home with these officials he would have 40 again

Almost sounded like he was choking up talking about what Matt did and what kind of person he is.

Hauser brothers.

Can we get a pic with both heads in one please?

Incredible that Markus has gotten so good that 31pts seems just run of the mill, but I guess that’s what All Americans do.

Matt Heldt that offensive board and pass to Sam was the play of the game. Can’t wait to give that guy a standing O and get emotional on senior day.

If mods won’t do the Hauser bros double sog I’ll go Joey over Sam. Joey spread it out throughout the game and hit some huge shots, but so did Sam along w 9 boards. The spash bros were shooting NBA threes today and it was great to see. I’d just give Joey the nod cause he’s due.

Only negative today imo was Ed. He played poorly but worse than that was negative body language and lack of celebration in 2H on bench

Tough one - so many candidates (and isn't that a sweet problem?).

Sentimentally, I'd like to see Matty get it. He played good D, did his job on the boards, had a block and an assist. Yeah, I know he can't get it when 3 guys scored 83% of our points, but what a great kid to have accepted a lesser role without bitching and coming in to deliver quality minutes. Plus, he was at least tied with Theo for the number of bogus fouls called on him.

Logically, it's got to be one of the big 3. I love the Hausers to death but have to go with Markus, who led in points, assists and steals, and was 2nd in rebounding, even though he did have nearly half our turnovers. Agree that there is a degree of Markus fatigue re: STOG, but I think he controlled our fate.
