Over in college football, THE CITADEL hit a field goal to take the lead over #1 Alabama at Alabama in the second half.  Penalty called it back.  I expect Alabama to win the game, ultimately, as I expect MU to win this game ultimately.  But this is why we play the game.

I think Alabama has a better chance. IU took the air out of this team as we are visibly flat. Blue Hose freshman are competing with our upper class men.

Just curious, what are everyone's thoughts if we hit 4 of our wide open 3s instead of 0. And 2 wide open 5 footers.

I generally think the offense was fine outside of missed shots. Not great, but fine.

I expect to win this by 15+

That's the way I see it.  This is a game where shots aren't falling, wide open shots.  If they were, half the people here pissing and moaning would be only mildly pissing, moaning and shooting their dog.

The difference maker on offense graduated. Offense is going to be a big struggle for this squad. Their half court offense is needs a ton of work.

Definitely have missed a lot of open jumpers and bunnies.

Still concerning performance.

This team is going to get embarrassed on Wednesday if they don't magaically figure something out very soon.

What's concerning to me is I don't really see what else there is to figure out. Like you said, maybe the players will magically get better but the cupboard looks pretty bare this year.

The other piece of this. Markus didn't take his first shot until 10 minutes in. Clearly trying to find his teammates more. When we get shooting performances like this that could reinforce the idea that Howard has to do it all himself.

To be clear, if we continue to miss shots in the 2nd half and don't put the game away then I'll be very concerned. I just expect to be better since the offense has flowed better.

It's amazing how far everyone's standards have fallen for this team. Yes they are defending 2 star players. Yay.. just sad to see how far this program has fallen over the years

As TAMU documented, 2 for 17 against this team is brutal and should not happen.  You state IF shots falling, well they did not.  Woulda coulda shoulda....  still not falling.  But MU will win

For someone who thinks the defense has been bad today, can you explain what's wrong with it? I'm at the game and sure we've had some breakdowns leading to open shots but I've thought the majority of possessions have been good. Maybe I'm missing something.

There is a ton of talent on this team. The cupboard definitely isn't bare. They're just not meshing at all so far.
