Holy Fuk. It’s amazing. It’s real. This time out has been the most amazing time out ever. I feel like I’m clubbing.

Yeah, but there are a couple of empty student seats so it sucks.

That timeout was better than player intros. More of that!

So I'm pretty sure pumping artificial sound through the speakers is illegal on ncaa rules. I'm 100 percent sure turning off the lights on the stadium during a timeout is illegal.

What if there's a bat in the stadium?

Yikes!  Are they self sanitizing cup holders?  I don't trust people to wash their hands before touching anything else in the bathroom not to mention the "shake and grab" at the urinal.  Again......Yikes!

I don’t know, I thought the music and MCs were way too loud. You couldn’t have a conversation with the person next to you at times. It took away from the experience for me. I don’t know that loud music makes a home court advantage.

Good crowd for an 8pm weekday game against a cupcake. The students rocked it. I wondered what the coaches thought of having the lights out while they're in the huddle trying to draw up the next play.

They're not really holders, more small platform shelves. I love them. Very sensible and useful.

The female MC referred to us once as the "Eagles". WTF?

And I like to picture Wojo as having a little Mag Lite for so that everyone could see his little play - mapping board during the timeout, while the other coach was going, "What's going on on? I can't see a damn thing!"  #strategy

As an old fart who graduated earlier this decade, I was very confused by the timeout. Very cool and disorienting, yes, but moreso becasue I can't imagine that was allowed during the game, during a media timeout. If so, it will make for very cool effect in the big games.

Acoustics were interestingly good upstairs, but it sounded as though Wojo was mic'd up at times

There was someone close to a mic towards the end of the game who, instead of chanting "Let's go Marquette", was chanting "Let's go Matt Heldt". It was pretty funny.

Looked to me as if they had a spotlight on the huddle.

You didn’t hear the guy next to him chanting “Matt Heldt sucks”?

Turn off the band mic please.

During the lights out time out, they had huge spotlights on each huddle. Just can’t imagine they could hear anything during that time out.

So, without sounding like an old mf'er, the PA/sounds are uncomfortably loud. And, do not like the entire 3-ring circus atmosphere that sporting events seem compelled to throw on the crowd. MU basketball has fallen into lockstep with minor league baseball and NBA basketball.

loved the arena.  we were a couple rows in...those flame throwers give off some serious heat.  tons of food...seats were comfortable...it was loud and will be all out crazy for big games.  nice layout, easy enough to figure out a quick entrance/exit, certainly would get my interest as a recruit.

i'm 35 years old...thought it needed to be toned down a bit.  wasn't paying much attention to the fire dancers, but it did get my attention when i saw him light himself on fire at one point and torch the floor at another point...that was solid entertainment.  at time it felt like a club atmosphere...that's not my thing...but i can certainly live with it here and there.  couldn't imagine trying to coach in that sh!t show.

Agreed.  I find the in game "hosts" obnoxious, especially the woman, who has a loud and shrill voice.  The atmosphere (so far) is much less "collegiate" and more NBA.  Seems like the band and cheerleaders roles have been reduced...and do we have a dance team anymore...I can't recall them at either game so far, but maybe I wasn't paying close enough attention.  Did love the fire dancers at half time though, especially when the one guy set himself on fire!

Remember last year, when folks were complaining that we had no home court advantage and everything was too quiet.  Maybe its just because I'm 4 rows from the top of the upper deck, but I had no problem with the overall volume.  You guys should just turn down your hearing aids hey.

Overall, I loved the game experience at FiServ. Have to agree on the woman MC; it felt like she was screaming at you most of the time. I don't love the DJ vibe, but it does liven things up. I thought the updated Pray video was outstanding!! Really enjoyed touring the stadium, including the mezzanine/bar/outdoor deck at the top. Really unique and cool.

The women MC is more than fine, when she is not yelling! Please don't yell!
