Point guard

Trevor Anderson would have been a great back up point guard for MU.Any reason other than higher tuition he did not walk on at MU instead of UW. Wisconsin just got Strickland.Trice will be a redshirt soph,Strickland a fr. and Davison can also play point.Anderson will never play

Why would we want a walk-on point guard at MU who will "never play" at a school that is worse than we are?

This is where Aircraftcarrier is at. Will be shocked if anyone outside the usual badger trolls agree with this.

I like Anderson a lot, disagree with the statement that he will never play at wisconsin. He imo might be a better true pg than Davison and certainly is than trice.

Marquette should have every high school PG in the state as a walk on. Wojo clearly doesn't know how to recruit.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

If I could find Stevens Point on a map, I'd say he put its basketball there.

I see a SG.  A better Jake Thomas.  When I watched SPASH at State, Sam ran the point.

Suspect that Trevor will be part of the rotation.  He did not transfer to sit on the bench.

Actually, they both initiated the offense depending upon the flow of the game.

Trev can play. Wouldn't surprise me if he got minutes for UW.

He always dreamed of playing at UW

https://www.greenbaypressgazette.com/story/sports/college/uwgb/2017/05/03/trevor-anderson-transfers-wisconsin/101263980/

This. A little research shows why he is at UW, not Marquette. He always wanted to play for the Badgers, not Marquette.

So did Sam and Joey Hauser. You can ask them too.

I am indifferent on TA, but completely agree on the rest of this take.

Actually, they both initiated the offense depending upon the flow of the game.

I'll admit my viewing was limited.  That makes sense.

I looked at his advanced stats just now. 15.4% assist rate, 17.7% turnover rate.

Markus posted better numbers against better competition.  If no one is added, he is Marquette's best PG.

There really isn't a backup on the roster.  Need to add one, or better yet a starter.

MU is the leader for DJ Carton of Bettendorf,Iowa.Class of 2019 class. That is why an ideal grad transfer is preferred.

I think Greg could handle backup with his thumb healed and a full offseason to work on his handle. He'd certainly be a much better option than Trevor Anderson.

So did Sam and Joey Hauser. You can ask them too.

Sam and Joey were top 100 kids who had multiple high major offers.

If MU wanted to give Trevor a scholarship to join Sam and Joey then I'm sure he wou.d have accepted it over being a walk on at UW.....  we didn't offer 1......no other high majors offered either.....

Perfectly understandable with no offers at this level that he decided to walk on at the school he rooted for as a kid.......this really isn't complicated.

True. However, TA did well at a mid major albeit for one year, and believes he can play at the high major level. He’s betting on himself, even though others are not, yet. Good for him.
That being said, Like all other Badgers, I hope he fails miserably.
