Is it just my imagination or has Grayson Allen been at Duke for like 10 years?
He showed up big to beat UW, he can stay there as long as he want IMO

Nah, you're trippin.

MUEng92

If Grayson Allen shot 3's as well as Cain, much less Rowsey, Howard or Hauser, Duke would be up by 17

Bagley is really good at anticipating where the ball will be.

I can't wait for Custer to grad transfer here next year.

That'd be unreal
Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

We need to risk violations to get Custer here

He gets team to Final Four, he's a legend there.  Would be shocked if he left.

Agreed. The chance (if there ever was one) probably went out the window when they won the MVC tournament to make it in.

Coach leaves. Best friend graduates.

It's possible

I realize not all schools have an open scholly but Custer on the open market would have no shortage of suitors

Started to have flashbacks to Illinois comeback against Arizona in the Elite 8 in 2005. Luckily for Loyola, ain't nobody on this Kansas St. team can shoot like Deron Williams, Dee Brown and Luther Head can.

GGGG

There is zero chance he takes the team to a Final Four and he transfers even if the coach leaves.  Don't be ridiculous.

With his buddy Ben Richardson graduating I could see it. Doubtful still but I could see it

Zero chance? I don't think we can say that. Sure I don't expect it but I would hardly call it impossible. What if he loved this postseason run and wants to do it again? If he looks around and thinks Loyola is loosing too much he could consider transferring to a better situated team.

And that's just one of many theoretical reasons

Mr. Nielsen

I wonder what Houston feels like, with Michigan in the Final Four.

Okay 1% chance and it's losing not loosing, sorry, pet peeve.
You know the difference between a dentist and a sadist, don't you? Newer magazines.

Custer and Townes are both grad transfer eligible. Loyola also loses three seniors. If Moser were to leave, that program could drop right back to the bottom of the Valley.

As great a run as this is, it's also been a charmed life escaping the first weekend by 3 points and lucking into a 7 and 9 seed in the second weekend. The players have to know that too.

Yep. Loyola's a missed shot away from being a 1st round exit.

Michigan had a pretty similar run.  Buzzer beater in 2nd round, 7 & 9 seed in the 2nd weekend.

Luck and good fortune played a role in both runs.  It can be a thin line between disappointment and elation.

Agreed. It's rare that a team gets deep in the tournament without close calls. This could just as easily be Miami and Houston. Or what if Vander Blue's layup in 2013 rims out? That's what makes the tournament so great, but also why it's risky to put much stock in its results.
