This is not a good start for Villanova.

The refs then knew they had to intervene.  I have never seen a perimeter oriented team get so many calls like they tend to when a team poses a challenge.

Dude. Texas Tech fouled the shooter like 4 times in a row.

It was horrible defense not poor officiating.

You think 8 fouls in a row on Texas Tech while none in the same timeframe against Texas Tech were all legit?  This coming off the heels of Villanova getting similar treatment early in the 2nd half against West Virginia when they were falling behind.

Tech getting good looks from penetration whenever they want. Nova still looks like the best team I’ve seen this year

Texas Tech has 9 fouls total

Nova has 7.

Again, they smacked the arm of the nova shooter 4 times in a row

Villanova is relentless on offense.  Good enough on defense.  Lots of long arms and good switching.

Tech and West Virginia repeatedly place two hands on the offensive player as they are driving to the hoop.  They also reach tremendously often.

Automatic fouls.  West Virginia was actually lucky they did't call more.  They foul every possession.

Nova is strong with the ball so the reaches, grabs become much more obvious as the ball is never jarred loose (can make it look like a clean steal).

Villanova 4-21 on 3s. Ugh. And they're open 3s for the most part. They need to find some offense or will be going home. TT waking up on offense a little.

How's your conspiracy theory now in the second half?

Good call.  Remember when the refs were biased for Villanova?  So wrong.

I call it as I see it.  You remember the game we played at Villanova?  They were in the bonus 6 or 7 minutes into the 2nd half if I recall correctly?  To me it’s a trend I see when I’ve watched them.

Villanova gets fouled because they are all strong with the ball, all  can shoot  from 3, all can get to the basket, and run their sets to perfection.
And have big guards.

Another ref conspiracy, ugh.

On side note Nova goes 4 for 24 from three, but shoots 30 for 36 from the line.

Good win for BE, keep it going.
