I never would have imagined that VT would be in better shape in year four. VT had an atrocious mens program when Buzz was hired. They're looking at 3 consecutive postseason appearances. We will have only sniffed once in four years.

Frustrating times for sure.

Wait. So you're going to count Buzz's NIT appearance as a postseason appearance but not MU's this year? I guess that's fair...

Why would this surprise anyone that VT would be ahead of MU. Buzz had a chance to keep some of the VT recruits that were committed there before he got the job since their coach was fired and not leaving for a new job and he also got to take the recruits from his last MU recruiting class that he wanted to with him. Wojo came in having been recruiting for Coach K and Duke. He didn't have the luxury of bringing a recruiting class with him and had a much tougher sell to keep the kids committed to MU than Buzz did to keep the kids committed to VT, as those kids didn't have a coach to follow. Buzz should be a year ahead of where MU is.

Buzz is a better coach but has been at it longer my issue is Buzz is better at instilling a culture of toughness.  Wojo has had 4 mentally soft teams.

I am always happy to see our former coaches do well. I believe it is always good to have Marquette diaspora do good things.  Happy for Buzz and hope he makes it far into the tournament.

Buzz was a great coach for us. The last year he was deflated and his time with us had come to and end.  Obviously the way he left sucked and did not reflect well on his character. But what do you expect from a college basketball coach?

This team has lost 11 times with 5 to play.  Of course it's whiney.  That blows and they're not improving.

Criminals? Like who?  Name them.  Surely it can't be any of the jucos that MU pumps up on social media any time one of them scores a basket in the NBA. 

Buzz was Al 2.0.  And like Al he left MU way too early.
