Juan Anderson's Mixtape

We're becoming numb to individual 30 point games.  In most years, 30 points in a BE game would be the offensive performance of MU's season.  This year it has happened 8 times.  We've also had high scorers of 29 (Rowesy vs Nova) and 26 (Howard vs Xavier).  Hauser had 19 in the DePaul game, which never was competitive, and Markus had 16 vs Providence on Saturday.

We're becoming spoiled with the barrage of 30 point games.  Let's not lose sight of how valuable that is, especially with an efficient night of shooting.

1. Markus
2. Matt
3. Sacar
4. Hauser

2-4 are basically interchangeable.

I'll take Good Problems to Have for $600, Alex.

The post-game look on Delgado's face said it - Heldt STG.

Out of multiple candidates, I've gotta go with Markus.

Does anybody have a quick way to reference when was the last time MU had 5 starters in DF's?

Howard.  32 points on 13 shots.  Others played well.......I know we all want to give it to someone who hasn't won the SOTG yet, but come on.  This one is easy.  Lock it up

Matt had a great game and did a great job on Delgado.

Heldt.
He deserves 20-25 mins/game.

No (IMHO).

We will be a better team when a player of such limited skills never needs to play more than 10-15 minutes. (And I'm one who picked Heldt as SOTG in a close call; obviously, no problem with Markus getting it.)

Wojo gets criticized often, some deserved and some not, but one thing he has done quite well these last couple of years is manage the center position - especially this season. Most games, he has a very good feel for it, and he's generally quite good at putting each center in a position to succeed.

Theo was out, and Matt has had some success against SH in the past. Plus, Harry had looked a bit lost recently. Wojo gave Matt a shot, and Heldt took advantage with his best game this season by far.

On Saturday, if Theo is healthy, Matt might play less than 10 minutes again - as he had been doing in recent games.

I trust Wojo to make the right call ... though if he ends up making the wrong one, I hope a student reporter asks him about it - ha!
