I truthfully have zero idea on this being good or bad line tonight. MU is a tricky team this year due to the scoring punch. Over the last month no one has figured out a way to stop all three of our scorers. Fingers crossed that the trend continues.

Another game that if we won or lost by double digits and it would not shock me. That said, I think they might be close to turning the corner for this season and feel they have real chance tonight. Wish I was down there.

First round at the Arlington sports book is on me.

Deal.

I got +170 locked in.

Where?  That is a good number for basically a pick-em game.

I go through a local guy. According to oddsshark, it looks like a lot of books are offering either +160 or +170 depending on if they have the spread at -4 or -4.5.

Last year, they beat Villy, then I think they lost 3 out of the next four, somebody can correct me if I am wrong.  Hope they can build on the Hall game, this is a key
game to see where they are the rest of the season.  Go 4-2 and it makes it much easier to get off the bubble, keep the momentum going.

My guy hits me up the moment my account ever goes negative. When I'm up he's pretty hard to get in touch with. I'd much rather have a sports book to go to.

Basically a pick em? It's a 4pt spread?

I'm seeing +170s and +175s in LV.

I know vegas is always right, but these spreads vs moneyline odds don't make much sense to me. I'd think the odds Marquette covers and loses the game are quite small compared to the odds that Marquette wins outright. Basically I see no point in taking the points in a spread that's like 6 or less points instead of doing the moneyline. Football is a different story.

Butler will be angry and I can see MU letting down after Tuesday.

I really hope I'm wrong, but I don't see it happenin' tonight.
I could also see Butler wither after getting punched in the mouth at the outset. Their coach isn't exactly battle-tested at a high level.

Other than beating a ranked team at home, I don't correlate the SH win to the Nova win. Remember, MU had to storm back to win that game, probably a little more emotionally invested when all was said and done. The SH win, other than when they came within 1 to open up 2H, was almost a cruise job.

Lose to butler, no big deal. Lose to depaul at home, then you can talk hangover if you want, but I don't see how the two events compare.

Need this game today, win this and we can potentially go 3-3 in the 6 game stretch

Daniel

If the SH game was truly a learning experience, a turning the corner game on defense and driving the ball, then we can continue to do well.   The Butler game is a big test - on the road after beating # 13 at  home, and after playing one of the most complete games in Wojo?s tenure.   Maybe the best,

Let?s keep it going!  Get hungry, stay tough and beat Butler! Go Marquette!

I totally get your train of thought here, but they obviously know that the points make a difference.  But I admit that I often go with the ML instead of taking a 1pt or 2pt dog.

Also, I think MU at +4.5(hopefully +5) is a nice play tonight.  I think Butler is getting too much respect from the books.

I just think it's important for the re-establishment of this program. We can't be satisfied with a good win here and there. Greatness is for the taking. Seize it, damn it.

I think people are putting WAY too much stock into a road game against a very good team. Hell, Nova went in there and lost...

To say the program is back or not based off of 1 game is just foolish. I understand a win is very nice for moving MU from bubble to stable...but in 10 years, if Wojo is still here, I rarely see anyone bringing up the great stretch of 2017-18 @Providence, Seton Hall, @Butler stretch.

It's an opportunity to pass through a checkpoint.

Last year we were blowing them out at halftime and folded up like an accordion.  Up 18 in the 2nd half only to lose by 8.  A 26 point choke joke on that swing.  Got to win on the road in the BE so let?s take care of biz.

Can we save it at that point so we don't have to go back?
