the play-in games to get into the final 64 are this weekend.

The Marquette squad already has a spot in the 64 and should be playing 7/15-7/16

Marquette (alumni) vs. UWM (alummi) anyone?

Would that be added on to the current 39-0 record?

We are the #1 seed in the Midwest. First game against Midwest Dream squad featuring former Dookie Sean Dockery.

We're a #1 seed!

I see that the our first opponent is named ironically.

They have a player on their team named Bryant Orange. It would have been so perfect if Vander was playing for the Marquette team.

They are hyping us big time:

"Many are saying that the Golden Eagles have the most pure talent of anybody in the TBT 2017 field. Dwight Buycks returns to the team after averaging 24.5 points per game en route to TBT 2016 All-Tournament Team honors last summer. Fellow guards Maurice Acker, Joe Chapman, Darius Johnson-Odom, Trent Lockett and Jerel McNeal give the Wesley Matthews-coached team arguably the best backcourt in TBT history."

The backcourt definitely isn't a problem. Though when you look at the pool of players who were here in the past 15-20 years, that's no surprise, nor is our lack of frontcourt depth surprising.

I'm hoping Juan and Trent can really help with our rebounding and D. Both were huge effort guys and neither minds doing the dirty work.

Thank the Maker that we don't have to play the always-dangerous Always a Brave at Bradley. A rematch would happen in Brooklyn.

I enjoyed watching Dwight Buycks last year  and Joe Chapman was in solid form as well

Yes he represents what having a good neck is all about. Gives him some good stability on that jump shot .

Makes you wonder what he could've done at Marquette had he shown that much dedication to the neck during his time here. You live and you learn I suppose.
