Student tickets have always been way under priced.  I'd say the $140 is still under priced.

I would assume student increases and STH increases won't match up.
Any middle aged fogies here please correct me, but didn't student season tickets cost ~$150 at the time the Bradley Center opened (1988)?

fjm

At the BC there were 4,000ish student seats.

In the new arena: 2,970.

No.  I didn't pay close to that.  I'm thinking around $60-70 or so.

source?

My guess is there are still similar or more seats in the lower bowl even with students are on both sides. Should also keep more upper bowl inventory available for those of us currently up there . Win win

Good, hopefully they routinely fill them.

EDIT: Not meant to be a criticism of students, just glad this will give better seats to the diehards and not have so many vacancies like we saw regularly in the uppers.

You should have read the post before yours. Your answer to your question is in there.  ;)

My scanning missed that. Seems Like a good number. It will be interesting to see the impact that has on season ticket holders now with the upper deck wide open.

97-01. I recall $50, or there abouts, for men's basketball and $60 for all sports. I'm sure it went up after final four run.

I like that they are doing two sides for the students. Should be a fun environment. Maybe it will hide a little better when there's lower student attendance by having them more spread out.

40% added cost seems a bit steep. Do we know how much smaller the student section is now based on that?

1,000 less seats for the students.

Yes and the article says that normally around 3,000 buy season tickets.

Yeah, I was going to say about $60.

It was $55, I think, from '01-'06.

I would think it would be 111.
Is 111 on the east or west side of the arena?

As much as I would love to have students on the baseline, I like that they at least got students on both end zones.

Looking forward to your updates.  I'm less concerned about price increase than your impressions on the seating.  Such as the quality of the seats, views, leg room, foot room for getting in and out of the long rows, etc.  I've already reconciled with the fact that prices will be going up somewhere in the 25% to 40% range.

Ah I got bad information.... we are actually meeting in a suite in Schlitz park not at the new arena my bad.  Either way I should have a little bit of information about pricing after it so I'll let you all know.

Nice article by the Wire. Well thought out plan by MUAD. These ticket guys are very good and the environment will be special. Of course, the human bias is to resist change, but this will be a great venue to enjoy. With that comes the needed $$$.

my freshman year, coming off the Sweet 16, I think season tickets for students were $39 and I don't remember them increasing much at all.

It also appears that all seats are in the lower bowl. Many of us, before Crean got GA implemented, were stuck upstairs in the BC during our freshmen and sophomore years.

There are almost 1500 more lower bowl seats for the students in the new arena. It did not say students could not buy upper bowl tickets, if they miss out on lower bowl. So 1000 students could sit upstairs. More than that were sitting upstairs in the old arena if I understood the article correctly.

Mr. Nielsen

The new arena will not have a student section in the upper deck in 2018-19.
