You hate to see this anytime, but especially a week before the tourney starts..

Oregon's Chris Boucher is out for the season with a torn ACL, per a source. Massive loss for the Ducks.

Wiscy will be a 6. I think Oregon stays on the 2. Creighton is locked in at 7. There's no way the NCAA doesn't put Dana against his old team (if we get past the 10)

They won't be there if they aren't a top 4 seed.

Sure they could be..It happens almost every year where a lower seeded team has an advantage over a higher seeded team because of location. I mean...I could see a 6 seeded UW in Milwaukee vs say a 3rd seeded Butler for example. They could say that's not THAT big of a deal Butler is close enough. Besides, they do try to keep ALL teams as close to home as possible. It's Wisconsin , they get every break imagineable in the tourney with draws, seeding, location etc.

*shouldn't. They've done it before.

They don't get every break - you are just over sensitive about it.  And, while you are certainly correct it might happen, I doubt it will.

cheebs09

They got a 6 in Milwaukee one year. I think they should have been seeded higher but got the lower seed/better location. That was back in 2006 so things may have changed since then.

Didn't watch the game but I just heard the Bocher played 12 minutes after the injury? Damn. That is either tough, crazy, negligent, or some combo of the three

Yes, VA tech, Xavier, Creighton, Minnesota and now Oregon had the toughest late season injuries. Oregon is probably I. The best shape to overcome due to their great bench.

It'll be interesting. Oregon also has the least amount of time to adjust to life without Boucher. Bigby-Williams will get a chance to step in, but they now have to deal with a shorter rotation and without their best rim-protector. It will certainly shorten the amount of time they spend in my bracket.

Then the committee thinks Marquette is located on the West Coast as we played out there almost as much as in the East or Midwest.

Vowed to not post until Marquette was good again. Was sick of being negative.   Plus the Bucks take up a majority of my viewing as i enjoy the nba much more.     First time im looking forward to selection sunday in quite a bit

Instead of the Midwest, I think you meant the South. MU hasn't played a game in the Midwest since Minneapolis in 2003. One of the disadvantages of MU hosting as it takes a location away. We are due for a shorter drive to Indianapolis. The closest drives recently have been Cleveland, Louisville and Lexington, IIRC.

Well, using the same logic that puts Missouri is in the South (according to some Scoopers), Kentucky is in the Midwest.
Have some patience, FFS.

I think most of Missouri is in the South, but St. Louis and Kansas City are in the Midwest. Is that incongruent thinking?
