MUDPT

Got my packet from MU today. 2 interesting things:

1. We are hosting a Gavitt game

2. No price increases, probably in prep of raising them with the new arena

So we are at UW Madison, host Georgia and host Gavitt game. Good start.

Not to mention Maui Tourney with really strong field.

Should be at least a decent home slate. Both Georgia and another Big 10 team. Love to see another home and home starting on the road. Maybe a really big name, like UNC, Kansas, or UCLA, and then have them open the new arena in 2018.

I plan to get season tickets this year for the first time as I finally will have the income etc....
I could look this up but whe do you usually have to purchase tickets by?

Everyone purchases tickets via a draft in may (?) sign up on the site now so you get all the info when it comes time.

I'd settle for ND.

While I agree, the Maui field is a bit disappointing all things considered. No blue bloods.

MU, Michigan, Wichita State, VCU, Cal, ND, and LSU. Plus Chaminade.  I like the field, but its a bit disapointing for Maui which usually has at least a few great programs.  Cal is going to take a step back from a NIT team.  LSU is in a real bad spot.  Completely conceivable that Michigan takes a major a step back losing their seniors. VCU and Wichita are always interesting names, but nothing I am getting too jazzed about.  ND is nice.

All that said, I am headed to Maui for it, so clearly I wasn't THAT disappointed!

Also wonder if that home / home with Utah that never happened this year will start next year.  They should be pretty solid next year.

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

Bitch, bitch, bitch.  At least we're not playing UMBC or NJIT.   Take the banner and run.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

Glad your stepping up and doing this. You will really enjoy the season.

If you've graduated within 5 years, definitely do the Coors Light section. It's a great deal.

fjm

Thanks for the insight cheebs!
And thanks MUFNY. Went to 10 games this year. I easily spent more on 2nd hand tickets than I would on season tickets.

Sorry to correct.  Existing season ticket holders renew in early June after sending a deposit in May. NEW season ticket sales usually beginning in July if memory serves.

I too am trying to buy season tickets for the first time.  (Sick of paying ticketmaster for 6-8 games a year)

I emailed marquetteathletics and still haven't heard anything back.

Is there anything else I can do to purchase tickets?

Thanks

And the Coors Light section is a great way to start for eligible young alums.  Free beer!

Utah has a home and home with Butler with the 2nd ghame at Butler this up[coming season.  Doubt that Utah would do MU for 17-18.

Let me say that I think it's fantastic that some SCOOPers are considering jumping in.  See you at the private STH practice.

I'm not bitching.  I am stating facts.

2016:
Oregon
North Carolina
OK State
Wisconsin
Tennessee
Georgetown
UCONN

Somewhat disappointing in hindsight, loaded at the time.

2015:
Kansas
Indiana
UCLA
Vandy
Wake Forest
St. Johns
UNLV

It's not a great field compared to what Maui usually looks like.  That's all I am sayin'.

Have to think the tourney will give ND the top seed and easiest path to the final.  I could see VCU/WSU and ND/Chaminade in top bracket.  UM/LSU and MU/Cal in the other bracket.

Just so you know, any donations received up through April 30 count towards your point total.

It's not too late to improve your standing!  Just don't get in front of me and glow.
Have some patience, FFS.

I have donated the last two years(last year more than previous year) and honestly, I don't think it really effected my spot much. I was surprised by that actually. I think in previous years, it could jump you a thousand spots or more just by donating $100. Now, you might be lucky to move a handful of spots for donating 6-$700. I wonder what the reason for that is??
