I feel you, 82. Our flight for Riviera Maya leaves right around tipoff. Hoping to catch it on the plane, but not optimistic.

Doc, the game will be going on during the ORD-to-LAX portion of my looooong journey. I will be landing at LAX just after 3 p.m. (5 p.m. MU time). I won't be picking up any bags because they will be checked through to LIH (I hope!). If MU-PU go OT, not sure I'd even be able to find an airport bar with CBSSN.

Ah perfect. CBSSN has a free streaming app. With UA going to all personal devices to all personal devices and no seatback screens, maybe you will get lucky. Expect non-luxury from LAX to LIH. It is a long way to paradise, but a Duke's Mai Tai awaits you!

I don't get why ANYONE ever makes plans during MU season..You plan things around MU. Dont feel sorry for you guys at all. It's your own fault(s)!  :)

TAMU, Knower of Ball

Again, the committee does not care how many bids a conference gets. Not at all. There is no quota. The B12 has gotten 80% of its members in before. The BEast can get 70% with no issue. We should look at Providence and Seton Hall no differently than any other bubble team.

I checked into that. On United's site, they say one cannot access streaming sites.

Fyi... I have listened to ESPN radio. Video is out tho.

That would be called marriage. If it was during the tourney we wouldn't be going. Also, since the wife was willing to travel to both Annapolis and New York for games this past November, and agreed to going to the Maui Classic, I don't think I can really begrudge her missing a couple road games.

My ex wife and I divorced because she got tired of the world revolving around MU. I wasn't going to change that. She said it's me or MU..That was an easy decision. I chose MU. Gotta have priorities.  :-*

It's been forever since I bought Wifi on an airplane because the last time I did the connection was sooooooo slow.  I could hardly just get to normal, non-video websites (MUScoop, ESPN.com, etc.), so I have gone to just listening to music and trying to sleep during flights (don't fly a ton anyway, couple times a year).  I can't imagine that even if streaming website wasn't blocked the connection would be strong enough for video to actually work.  Have airlines upgraded their Wifi?

I think I got this right, if every other game is how it's supposed to go.  Game order is: @Providence, @X, Creighton home.

Wow, I thought you were just 'havin fun' with Brew but you were serious. Personally, I prefer to have my life revolve around my family.  We feel fortunate that we all cheer for MU and the Packers.  And I like to tease my daughter about adopting the St. Louis Blues via her boyfriend. But it's just sports and he's now a Packer fan so minor character flaws can be overlooked!

Simply counting wins and losses isn't a very scientific method of determining who looks better in a 3 way 9-9 tie. Hopefully the committee puts more thought into it than that. X will be fine at 9-9. They ate very solidly in the field right now.
The problem with the RPI is it based on the whole season. I do not think Xavier is solidly in the tournament right now. They simply are not the same team that they were with Sumner. I think they have lost 5 straight games.Their next game is against Butler, which will be a very tough game to stop a losing streak. Lose that game and hopefully to MU and I am not sure even a final game win over DePaul to get to 9-9 will save them. Besides that, even though DePaul is not very good, they generally play tough at home. Creighton is going to lose to Villanova and MU, so they need a win over St. John's to keep from falling into the 9-9 group. Creighton falling to 9-9 would make things very intersting. It also devalues our win over them.

I agree with this...SH and PV are coming on strong...no backing into 9-9 and getting in.

Other thoughts:
1. 10-8 will get any of the 4 in no matter what the outcomes...mathematically possible for all 4.
2. 8-10 for any of the 4 leaves them out.
2. BET tourney will be a factor...maybe even some tiebreaking games.
3. 9-9 (18-12) MU looks weaker than 9-9 (19-12) Providence if they beat us twice.
4. 9-9 (18-12) MU looks weaker than 9-9 (19-11) SH
5. 9-9 (19-12) Xavier (only beating DePaul) will need a BET win. That will be an ugly finish.
I agree with all of this.

Fair enough. I think anyone 9-9 or better from the BE gets in. I think 6 is the likely number. The info available would seem to suggest that any of the BE teams at 9-9 get in (PC w probably the worst case at 9-9), but I guess we'll see.
The 9-9's that win their first Big East tournament game are in. The one's that lose their first Big East tournament game are out.

Hah, ok. Sort of done disputing this. It's certainly possible, but I'd say a 50/50 proposition at worst. This field has to be filled, and frankly, a 9-9 BE team is more deserving than sub .500 B10 or ACC (7 or less wins in the ACC), or .500 SEC or PAC12. And that is their competition. There are not deserving MM this year outside of the regulars. So unless they decide to reduce the field this year, I just don't agree. I think if you spent some time analyzing say the last 8 teams in and the busted bubble thereafter, you'd agree.

Creighton did enough heavy lifting in the non-con that they are safe. Anyone asserting otherwise is simply stirring the pot or not paying attention.
