probably would have been double digits had Bluejays not lost their PG.

JD

I'd definitely take -6.5

Can MU win, absolutely, but I don't see it happening away.  Fischer will get devoured tomorrow.

Probably end up wrong, but expecting a close first half, then we pull away late. Just think losing their point guard will be too much.

Over/Under on time left in the game when he gets his fifth foul?

I say 2:45.

Over. 4:11.

The Lens

I think this will be like when we lost Jerel.  We beat Pitt at home but then team's scouted us and we wilted down stretch.  I'm expecting Creighton by double digits.  6.5 is  a gift to gamblers.

Would put money down on Creighton.

I don't do this much, but I'd lay the 6 1/2 with CU today.

I don't bet against MU even if seems easy money, but would give the pts. here.

What's weird here is most prognosticators have MU covering 5 1/2- 6 but losing BUT, they are not mentioning the season ending injury to Maurice Watson.  Many were predicting creighton to have final 4 potential before his injury. A huge playmaker leading the nation I believe in assists per game at around 8.5-8.8 and  averaging 13.5 ppg.  Tough place to play though. We would have to play mistake free

Wow, if there is ever a game we need to steal is this one on the road boys, but but but...

DUNKS45

If would could just get over the hump here and take advantage of Watson being out, we have to get a signature road win. This is a very tough place to play, we need to finish.

This is key in my mind -- you never know how soft the bubble will be but building a better portfolio of 'good wins' is key at this point - need to make a statement.

Our best win right now is Georgia at KenPom 43...so another bubble/bottom of the field type team IMO.

Even if MU wins, you wonder by the end of the season how much this win would be devalued because of Creighton not having Watson. It would be a good win, no doubt about it, but the "great" win it would be with Watson?? It depends on how Creighton finishes because they will be judged by the team that they are now(without Watson).

Ah, I see.  Marquette probably won't win.  But even if they do, it's not a great win.  You're all primed for disappointment after the game!

Lets get a W boys.  They're better than L's.

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

KPom has us losing by 9 so Vegas has discounted Watson's injury 2.5.  MU needs to balance usage...JJJ (29.2) in particular is way too high.  Haani, Sam, Andrew, Katin and Luke need more of the shots.  Balance

Oh, and play some team defense.

Jay Bee

Second best shooting team in America... just lost their worst shooter. Should be interesting...

18 & 12 from Patton?

While I agree with Haani, Sam & Luke needing more shots.... usage don't be equalling %Shots, aina?

Rowsey is at 24% already.. Katin at 22%... me not sure on them re: needing more of the shots. JjJ at 27%. M2N at 33%!!!

But, yeah.. Haani at 14.4%, Luke at 14.6%.. super low. Sam at 18.0%... would be fine with a little lift there as well.

How much of that shooting has to do with wide open shots or layups after Watson drives? My guess is quite a bit.

Looking at conference games.  The offense has stalled when JjJ receives the ball as he goes 1:1. 29% usage, 27% shots, and 25.2 TO rate ending in a 92.8 ORating.  Share it and drop the Hero Ball mentality.

Herman Cain

I think this is going to be a high scoring 3 point contest. We have a good chance at winning because we have a lot of strong 3 point shooters. I think the keys will be for Sam's shots to go in early and for JJJ to drive well early, which will open things up for the shooters.

Creighton will still be a tough team to beat on the road, however we have the ability to silence the crowd.
