1.  I still feel unclean after watching this.
2.  KR, get well before Sunday.
3.  Conversely, he wasn't actually missed tonight.
4.  Poor shooting the last 10 minutes kept MU under 100.    Dang it.
5.  I got nothing.   Ranks with Mississippi Valley State and Grambling for worst opponent in recent memory.

Hauser was solid starting.
Georgia should be a good game. Interested to see the starting 5

We have a hell of a foundation at the one, two and three!  Going to be fun watching Howard at point guard, Cheathem at shooting guard and Hauser at small forward.  these guys will play together for two more years after this year. I think the future is bright!

Found the 4 PG lineup amusing.

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

The goal was to play intense, intelligent defense. I thought the Warriors accomplished that.

Everything else was gravy.

TAMU, Knower of Ball

Western Carolina is not Grambling or Mississippi Valley State bad. We just made them look that bad. That being said, they are not very good. What should be taken away is that we are back to dominating cupcakes. We weren't doing that a season ago. Gives me hope.

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Dr. Blackheart

Best defensive efficiency game since 2011 in the opener vs. Mt. Saint Mary's.

Native American halftime show was kind of cool.
Student made all of his shots during a TV timeout. "Won" Qdoba for a year.

So...are we back in the good graces of the Native Americans? Is the next step...the Warriors?!

KenPom rates Western Carolina in the bottom 10th percentile of the 351 teams that compete in Division I. UW-M would be a better opponent. But we took care of business. Better energy, focus and effort than against Houston Baptist.

Yes.  Very proud of this victory!

Western Carolina is over 100+ games under .500 in their 41 seasons. They do a great job making themselves look bad.

With that said...nothing is more brutal than Grambling

What a strange why to attempt to size up an opponent...

So their average season is 2-3 games under .500? That's really not bad.

As interesting a concept as it was, the 4 PG lineup got abused by a weak Western Carolina team.  Not to hard for Western Carolina to shoot over everyone in the 4 PG lineup.

They mentioned warriors several times during the performance.

I said to my wife "Things I never thought I'd see, a Native American doing a 'warrior tribal dance' on Marquette's court."

That depends on your definition of "not bad".

This place would explode if MU was 2-3 games under .500 in any season.

They're a buy game opponent. That's not bad by any definition.

UWM does not want to be a buy game.    They want a return game, 3-1, 4-1 ratio.

I'm hoping drewm was being facetious, given the obnoxiously great length at which a UWM game has been discussed.

You know what would really make sense? A December tournament with MU, UW-Mad, UW-MKE & UW-GB.
